If Gibbs Goes, Who coaches next year?
This loss is frustrating enough to start with, but with the anti-Gibbs hate, we are just making things even worse. Honestly, if Gibbs steps down, who will his replacement be? I can't think of anyone on the spot that makes any sense, and if Gibbs goes, we need someone who can do a good job stepping in. We know how to have bad coaches, 7 years of Norv Turner, Spurrier, etc.

It sells tickets and merhandise guys!!!!!!!!!! I mean who is going to get all excited if GW is the new HC? Remember when Spurrier and then Gibbs were hired? Big commotion, BIG excitement. Nobody is going to get excited over some overpaid assistant coaches coming in, ones that have sucked as assistants for us. Cowher will get the money flowing, the excitement back, even if for just a little while like it did for Gibbs coming back. |

How many playoff runs has this guy have or SB rings? Does Williams have any with the Bills? Guy has a tough as nails image also as a disciplinarian. Do you think of Gibbs as a disciplinarian? Folks will be talking if Cowher comes in for sure, or do you think Spurrier is goingt o give it another go or Tuna? You tell me? Snyder is a savvy businessman, and is all about the $$$$$$$$$. He will generate excitement to generate more revenue or at least keep revenue at the current level. |

are you joking?? The guy had to Steelers in playoffs every year, competative every year. He bring stability, success, a winning formula, superbowl in the modern era of the NFL. I dont see how anyone who has watched football over the last 20 years wouldn't have some sort of excitement if he was a candidate to be your teams head coach. |

I don't know who I'd get to replace Gibbs, but it would be someone with somewhat same philosophies as him. The players are in place, but for whatever reason we aren't consistent. I would like that person to have some emotion, be willing to take risks, not so much run oriented but have a consistent balance between the run and the pass, not someone who's made a big name for himself somewhere else, maybe someone who's been an up and coming coordinator and now wants to try his shot at being a head coach.

Gibbs has done a great job of bringing in aggressive players; ST, CP, Moss, Randle El, Cooley, Landry, C.Rogers, JC, Fletcher, yet he doesn't make many aggressive play calls.

If Williams doesn't get the job, he's leaving and probably taking Blache and Grey with him. If he doesn't get the job when Gibbs leaves which I don't believe will happen until 2009, we have to start over on defense. Not to say that should decide the thing, but it has to be part of the equation.
