Cowboy's Leonard Davis suffers injury in practice...

They don't know the extent of the injury yet, but I figure it's worth posting. Even if he plays chances are he might not be at full strength and then there is the other side if misses the game: the cowboys are very weak at guard.

That is good news -- with all the injury problems and our disappointing record, im trying to be positive here --

But our Guards are weak, and our only good one, Pete Kendall is having injury problems of his own.

He walked off the field on his own, I would not expect it to be very serious.

I'm not making any assumptions yet. Sean Taylor walked off on his own too, and he's probably out a month. I hope it's nothing serious, but at the same time I wouldn't mind if he missed 1 game.

hahaha thats good and funny right there.

anything to disrupt their O line is good news as we need alot of pressure on romo to create turnovers and forced/rushed throws . . .

Unless Tony Romo is going to miss the game I dont think the Cowboys are really gonna miss him.

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

Yeah, I think it's important to point out how fortunate the 'Boys have been on the injury front. Sure they lost Terry Glenn for an extended period of time, but Crayton has filled in nicely. Aside from that, they really haven't had any problems. With all the major injuries flying around the league this year, Dallas has stayed very healthy.

Don't mean to be a downer, but we are sinking fast with all the holes in our team right now. The Cowboys possibly losing a starting guard isn't going to change the face of the game in Dallas a whole lot. A guard is more or less and huge obstacle and nothing more. Not much pulling, etc, so whoever they have to replace him will do a decent job against our sorry pass rush. If Romo, Witten, or TO go down then it might have an impact, but an interior linemen is just a body.

Couldn't disagree more that the position of LG doesn't take any skill, and that it's essentially a replaceable position. That's not true.

Leonard Davis, however, has never been a great or even good player. He would not be a big loss for the Cowboys.

Re: Cowboy's Leonard Davis suffers injury in practice...

The update on Leonard Davis is it is a sprained ankle and his knee was NOT affected. He was able to put weight on the leg and walk under his own power.

It is possible that they may just tape the hell out of that ankle and see how he feels.

If not, Cory Proctor will play on Sunday. Regardless, we are thankful that it was NOT his knee or a high ankle, or grade 2 sprain. Sounds like a mild sprain right now.

Although we are not NEAR as bad off as the Redskins, up to this point in the season we still have not seen BOTH starting CB's on the field together. Newman started the season injured, then as soon as he came back Henry got injured. We lost the starting FB for the year, and we still have not seen Terry Glenn (nor will I think we will ever see him again).

Call that lucky if you want, but it would be nice to see all the starters back in time for the post season.
