Springs. That long int that led to a touchdown at the end of the first half was a huge momentum swing...

Look, there is no doubt, NO DOUBT, that Springs' play was the game changing play. But there can't possibly be anyone on the Warpath, or anywhere else, who wouldn't have chalked up an automatic victory for the Bears if they knew Campbell would go down in the first half. Also, consider the crew that Collins suddenly was in charge of. This team was already completely demoralized--Sean's death, the heartbreaking defeat at home in a game they wanted to win for Sean, followed by the funeral, and then a game in the frigid cold two days later while riding a four game losing streak. How much more could it take? And then the team saw is budding leader go down and get carted off the field? Yeah, which one of us would have wanted to take over the reins of the team under these circumstances? Well, Todd was forced to, even though he essentially hadn't played in five YEARS. And how'd he do? Better than anyone could have possibly imagined. Did he look like Favre? No way, but again, no one could have reasonably expected that he would perform half as well as he did. So, you gotta give the game ball to Todd.

Collins, and he said it all^

I'm changing my mind and think that we need a O & D game ball. Spring's turned the game around then Collins moved the O. I think both were very important and without either one of those this would have gone down as a L.

yea i definately give credit to sean springs for the game changing play late in the 2nd Q.. but i have to also give Todd collins the game ball.. he came in just like wevery other game not really expecting to play.. but when he was called upon he did great. He lead our team to a good and well needed win, made 0 mistakes, couple TD tosses... it was a great job

All of those players had good games (except Portis he really didn't have a good game). I really had to vote Collins though. The guy hadn't thrown a pass in a regular season game in years and then he comes in throws for 200+ yards, 2 tds, and no interceptions. What a game!

Re: Redskins v Bears game ball

Todd Collins for coming in and running the offense efficiently. The throw to Betts was totally sweet and the sort of foot-on-the-throat moment that we haven't had all season.

I'd also write in Danny Smith and the boys for sacrificing field position in order to contain Hester. Most days you wouldn't applaud kicking it out of bounds at the end of the game, but in this case it was inspired. Well done.

Collins. We needed a passing O really bad.

Re: Redskins v Bears game ball

Collins is my easy choice. He was lights out, we couldn't have asked him to play any better than that.

Springs' INT at the end of the first half was pretty huge too. That really helped swing the game in our direction.

easy choice. Collins. came in and performed especially well, against a decent defense. made the right throws. and threw it away when needed

Collins, because he moved the offense when there was zero running game to speak of.

Re: Redskins v Bears game ball

Collins gets my vote. He came into a difficult situation and gave this team the boost they needed to get the win. Campbell is still my guy...but Collins showed last night that he knows this offensive system and has the ability to be the field general we need. He may get rocked next week against the Giants (who will be prepared for him) though.
