McGahee

Has anyone heard this news? Willis McGhaee says he will request a trade if hes not the opening day starter for the Buffalo Bills? Being from right outside of buffalo I'm sure this is all I will hear about for the next week. Seriously though, is McGhaee serious?? Hes essecinally a rookie, who just came back ffrom a very serious knee injury, and will be very questionable till he proves he can play in regular season games. And he wants to be named the opening day starter over a 1400 yard, proven back in Travis Henry? Is he for real? What a little premadonna, I was just starting to like him too. Any reaction?

i'm waiting for SkinsnCanes to tell you he's the best back of all time because of the school he came from.

He's being foolish if he thinks that it's his position, he'll request a trade and get a nice solid oak seat on the bench.

From what i read it was an anyonomus source that said McGahee wanted to be traded if he wern't the starter. I just hope for his sake that is not what he is thinking, so I will give him some leeway. If he is he can kiss his carrer goodbye.
But this brings up the topic of attitude of college starts nowadays. I don't understand the attitude of these new kids who are basically rookies and act like they are Hall of Famers. It just reminds me of Winslow situation and man am I so glad that he is not on our team. Taylor may have his issues but at least he is not pompous and does'nt act like he is a Hall of Famer. It's time these kids learnt that they got to prove themselves on the field and stop relying on the hype that has created around them, which they have taken for reality.

taylor is really a team guy who wants to win... all the polls (WP/WT) had 75-80% of readers wanting taylor, even though all the articles talked up KWII...

KW cant block, and he's a jackass (AND.. postons...), I couldn't be happier.

are you sure about this, id like to see a source before I say anything. Hes been interviewed plenty of times and said he'll do whatevers best for the team and crap like that. I was under the impression the mularky had a lot of cool plays designed. He said hes goign to run a lot of split backs with both of them in the backfield but wouldnt give anymore details. you know how lethal that could be.

But yes, i do think Willis is a much better back then henry. henry fumbles a lot, hes just like tiki.

I guess I'm the only one that doesn't see a problem. This guy was panicled in to start in the NFL before the big knee incident. If motion in his knew is even 80% what it was he'd be starting for 50% of the teams in the NFL. It all depend on his knee. If his knee is pretty solid the there is no room for him and Henry on the Bills roster. He wants an opportunity to start rather than be relegated to backup. To me, that is understandable. Has anyone seen him in pre-season action?

He was happy to take a paycheck while sitting on the bench last year. He should be a team player and take their paycheck to sit on the bench this year. Next year he can start if he's worthy.

I think he's just afraid that people are actually going to see that he's not as good as Henry.

saden - He's still a rookie behind a very strong back. If you remember correctly Ahman Green used to be one of the worst fumblers in the league. He quit fumbling because they added one extra sweat band, and some practice. Travis Henry is a great ball carrier.

Arrington - we have two VERY cocky young players. Both of them from the university of Miami. Confidence is great, but don't let it burn you!

what?!! travis henry a great ball carrier? if you are talking about his carrying ability, look at the number of fumbles hes had. that is his weak spot. (23 fumbles in 3 years, 13 lost) http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/player...s?statsId=5505

but mcgahee doesnt deserve to start, he hasnt proven that his knee wont get blown out again, and he hasnt earned anything yet.

Ahman Green has gotten no better as his career has progressed in terms of fumbling, in fact it seems to have gotten worse. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/player...s?statsId=4261

Still, very few teams wouldn't rather have Green than their own RB. I'm sure the Redskins are one of the few that wouldn't.

As for McGahee, I have my doubts that McGahee directly stated "start me or trade me" He probably said something like "My goal is to be the starter of this team, that's what I'm playing for. I don't want to be a backup." Which is a totally understandable thing to say. I understand Henry said the same thing, but at least Henry have some NFL clout, For right now, McGahee doesn't.

If I was Miami I'd be offering up a trade right now to Buffalo for Henry or McGahee.

Henry has some fumble problems, but I think he's an underrated RB. He was the Bills offense last year and played with a broken leg no less.

Are you offering Ogunleye? I'd be really surprised to see two division rivals like that make a deal
