Steelers punter out for the year

Maybe we should trade one of our punters for a draft pick or linebacker while we can. I say keep Brooks even if unproven.

I don't think Frost is tradeable.

Nonsense. We'll give them Frost for a 7th rounder, 6th if he meets performance incentives.

Seriously though that sucks for the Steelers. Daniel Sepulvida was one of the best young punters in football. I think they are going to have a hard time filling his shoes.

Re: Steelers punter out for the year

Why would they trade for one of our guys if they know we're going to end up cutting one when we pare down to 53?

Thinking caps, people.

They are not guaranteed to get whoever gets cut.

Oh right. I'm sure teams will be absolutely beating down Derrick Frost's door when he hits the market.

I probably should've used the /sarcasm tag I usually put when I'm being sarcastic.

Agreed. Nobody will ever trade anything for a P/K. the fact that teams sometimes use draft picks on them is almost frowned upon so don't expect us to be doing anything but releasing one of those guys.

We drafted a punter on the 6th round, I guess the Skins are dumb for that?

Not the same thing.

The last trade involving a punter I recall was 3-4 years ago involving Sauerbrun, but Frost isn't on his level at all. And since Denver was involved, you have to throw out all conventional wisdom since they trade and sign just about anybody.
