In all seriousness, we should slap this team. Look at the matchups
QB - Brunell vs Johnson - Verdict Even RB - Garnder vs Portis - Please , Portis all the way WR - Galloway/Brown vs Coles/Gardner - Edge to Skins' OL- I'm gonna go even because of our injuries and possibly having Thomas or Sameuals out, though its unlikely TE - Dilger vs Gibbs H-back Squad - Dilger is better than anyone we have, Cooley will be better with time. Defense- Our DL vs Their DL - Bucs got us here, though its not what it used to be. Simeon Rice needs to be shut down. Our LB's vs Their LB's - I'll give the edge to us, although its close. Derrick Brooks is a monster and we gotta try to keep him under control. Our Secondary vs Their Secondary - Ronde' Barber is good, their other corner is decent, but I still think we our better. Now all of that means crap if we dont play as a team. But I think one of our biggest assets this year will be our ability to play together as one. I'm gonna be at this game, and I honestly will be heartbroken if they lose, but I'm very confident in the Redskins this weekend. Washington Redskins 31 Tampa Bay Buccaneers 20 Who else from the Warpath is going to the game?? |

Bucs win this one 21-17. Why? Because our offense won't in full swing just yet. I hope I'm wrong though.

Gosh!

How do you beat a team by 1.5 points? I understand homefield is worth a point or two, so we win 10-9? Or 14-13, or 14-12, or some combination of numbers below 20 for each team! Both Defense's are ahead of the "O"!

I expect a Redskin win, and VERY low scoring by TB, probably 10 points tops, likely less. But with their good "D" and our unknown offense it could be a close one or a total blowout.

'Skins 24
Bucs 13 The 'Skins really have an unfair advantage in this one, IMO. Gibbs and Williams have both shown very little all preseason so Gruden and the Bucs staff really have their work cut out for them. I'm sure Gruden has gone over tapes from back in the day, but he knows he's going to see a lot of different stuff on Sunday. It's not like Gibbs walked in to Redskins Park back in February, threw down his playbook from '92 and said this is the plan. Sure the base offense will be there, but I expect we're going to see plenty of wrinkles all season long and adaptations of other offenses from around the league. The Bucs are getting old and don't have much left at the skill positions. BJ is a smart QB who's going to keep the ball moving, but get in his face and he'll start throwing some ducks. Garner is a nice double threat but he can be contained. The WR's are average and the offensive line is average at best. It will all add up to a long day for the Bucs as Portis rushes for 125 and a score, Brunell tosses 2 TD's and the game isn't as close as the score. Last edited by MTK; 09-07-2004 at 12:49 AM. |

Fellas you gotta remember we have Gibbs back!!!! It's like the Bears having Ditka.......Skins w/Gibbs 84- The Bucs 3 ( Bowen trips and lets up a 40 yard pass to Clayton, then Gramatica knocks one through from 52).
....but in reality 'skins 20-13 |
