Senior Bowl

Discuss all things Senior Bowl here. Especially who's impressing you and who's making you pray to God that we don't draft a certain player.

This will be especially helpful for me as my ADD is making it hard to watch the practices for more then a few minutes at a time. Hopefully it will also help our non NFL Network users who unfortunately are such losers that they can't get NFL Network (I kid I kid).

So with that said what are you guys seeing down in Mobile, AL?

USC's Brian Cushing, Clay Matthews and Rey Maualuga shine - ESPN
Penn State Nittany Lions WR Derrick Williams stuggles on Day 1 - ESPN

It's real tough to tell anything out of this stuff. I've been watching it and you've got to see these guys in game situations.

Yeah thats true, i mean look at a LB in ali highsmith. He did really well for LBs in the senior bowl, but never seemed to anything come the day he became an nfl player. I dont even know what team he is on!! lol

Re: Senior Bowl

ya imma switch to AT&T U-Verse cause Time Warner don't got NFL Network. And now's the time cause they gonna be talkin' draft for the next 3 months plus they got more HD channels than TWC.

Ya I read Mags was havin' a good week, but like i said in the Cushing thread, I really don't like him. i have a feelin' he's gonna be a bust.

Also read BJ Raji is man-handling in the 1 on 1 drills.

But i head LOTS of 1st round prospects aren't there

Thats because there are no underclassmen there.

Re: Senior Bowl

Anything special happen in practice today because I know this is the big one with no pads.

Re: Senior Bowl

All I know is that there was a significant drop off on the North squad OL when Mack, Unger, etc. were on the bench.

I had to flip back and forth but I did see the Cal OLiners were doing a pretty good job. The commentators had lots of good things to say about Raji, the USC players (LBs and others), and the WV CB.

Re: Senior Bowl

absolutely love alex mack......he is a awesome talent at center. i would love to get 2 of the 3..........mack, unger, levitre. those 3 guys man handled bj raji and company. i dont like raji, i think he is great in one on ones but doesnt show up on tape. but if we need oline there is one guy i would stay away from and that oher. might be the most overrated tackle in the draft. love all thre usc linebackers, and in the secondary alphonso smith would be a great pick at 13 if we keep it, he is an incredible talent at corner, ready to steep right in. at the dline position i wasnt really impressed with anyone and king out of iowa actually impressed me the most and he is projected in the 5th round so he might be a steal there..........pat white is winner and would love to see that guy on my team anyday of the week, yes even at quarterback.

I agree! Alex Mack is a beast with a mean streak and would fit in nicely in the nfc east... if we trade down can we still get him out of the first round as center is not a high drafted position?

Re: Senior Bowl

I must say, Mack looked pretty good playing G as he rotated between positions with Unger.

Re: Senior Bowl

if we trade back i think we could snag two of the three i said on the oline.....linebacker though is a big issue for us as well as defensive tackle.....but i would rather have a younger studly nucleus of olinemen. i might also add that i like the brown kid at running back. would love to start developing another back for a year or 2 down the line.
