Re: Jarmon signed
Just need some guys that were drafted around Orakpo to get signed and his deal will fall into place quickly.

Re: Jarmon signed
Not necessarily. As long as someone prior to him gets signed they can pretty much figure out what he will make and the top two plus one other has been signed prior to his draft spot. I'm betting it's just finalizing the finer details

I understand agents want to wait and see what kind of money players picked near their clients sign for, however someone has to be the first to sign. We need Rak in camp ASAP.

Maybe agents are trying to secure more money this year in case of a lock out after this year. ...Pure speculation on my part of course.

GMScud, thanks for the heads up on Zorn's comments. I agree with you, Orakpo needs to be in camp, I hope we get him signed pretty soon.

Re: Jarmon signed
Absolutely. I think the prospect of 2010 being uncapped is playing a big role.

Re: Jarmon signed
anyone know how his contract stacks up with other "3rd rounders?" It might be an interesting point that by getting this guy in the supplemental draft and using our pick a year early, we're actually saving money because of the annual jump of the salaries, i.e. a 2009 3rd rd pick is cheaper than a 2010 3rd rd pick.
