Cowboys may face blackout (yeah like Jerry won't buy every open seat)
Cowboys Try To Avoid Blackout, Ticket Holders Fume - cbs11tv.com
I want to share two thoughts: 1) It would be awesome if North Texas had the game blacked out. 2) for all those that complain about the Skins fans and the lack of sellouts. Please read this whenever you wanna complain. That's just a fact when stadium capacity outweighs the local area's ability to support it. |

That would be HILARIOUS if the first game at that monstrosity is blacked out. One of many to come, I am expecting. 82,000 seats is a lot to expect to sell 8 times a year.

Hilarious!! What a circus Jerrah has down there. LOL. Now all the Dallas locals may not be able to watch footballs bounce off their scoreboard. ha!

Opening game in new stadium vs. divisional rivel. If you cant sell this one out its a sure problem for things to come.

Yes. Even if they wiggle out of it this time, it looks like the Boys will face constant blackout threats in the future. To this, I say ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

Re: Cowboys may face blackout (yeah like Jerry won't buy every open seat)
$495 for 2 tickets is the cheapest available? thats seems absurd.
I feel for the PSL holders, basically the team says you gotta pay us 5k before we sell you good seats, then after you pay them for YOUR loyalties to the team, you find out you could have gotten them per game without having to pay the 5k per seat PSL? DS and JJ are the same owners in so many ways, including juicing your loyal (and wealthy) fans for every drop they have. but those 29 buck party passes seems cool as long as you got a decent view. at least then a bunch of older sweater wearing non-skins representing herbs wont tell you to sit down when our D is facing a 3rd and short. go skins!!

So they are America's team, but not Dallas' team.

Over-expansion (of Jerry's ego).
I hope this happens...then a Giants' punt hits the scoreboard too.

Re: Cowboys may face blackout (yeah like Jerry won't buy every open seat)
I think this would be good gut check for the league. With the NFL's continued growth each year, owners are getting richer every season with the increase in ticket prices. Are we finally getting to the point where the fans stand up and say enough is enough?

Re: Cowboys may face blackout (yeah like Jerry won't buy every open seat)
To me going to a game is a special event. I live in Richmond so its much harder to make it to MD for a game then say some one in DC, but based off of the cost and time involved attending games is purely becoming a special event for most people. Who really needs to go 8 times a year to a game? Its like your favorite band, you like to see them live every now and then, but you learn the words to their songs by listening to their cd.
Plus the that "League" is starting to become more popular then individual teams. How can people keep up with their fantasy or place bets, if they spend 5-9 hours watching just one game (including traffic and tailgating). If you stay at home you get to watch a lot more games and stay more abreast of other teams. Plus most everyone either has a nice hdtv or knows a friend that does, and I allways get way more out of watching a game on tv then at fedex.
