Playoffs...
Playoffs. Playoffs? I just hope we can win a game. Sorry, Mora's immortal words sound particularly resonant now. Anyway, is there anyone who really thinks we still have a shot at the playoffs? Cos I don't. To be 1-4 going into the harder part of the schedule seems too much to overcome. Especially when you consider that we have the most impotent offense I have ever seen in a decade of watching often-poor skins offenses.
I remember that Tennessee started 1-4 two years ago and eventually made it to the AFC championship game, but they were able to rally their offense around an mvp quarterback, and I don't think we will be able to do the same. In fact, because our offense seems to actually get worse every week, I'm not feeling particularly optimistic about anything. Finally, the worst part about watching this is that because of the profligate management of our salary cap, its hard to even be optimistic about next year. Next year's team will be this year's team, only less so. Yikes. |

Don't wrry so much about next year we have a good chance of getting some team chemistry because the front office has so little wriggle room I can se us being able to get rid of anyone or splash out on half assed fre ... oh wait i forgot who was in charge ...never mind

I'd actually rather not have any big offseason moves. Or at least not more than one. We need to have some team chemistry, thats been our problem latley. I want too see these guys stay together for as long as they can keep them together. The only thing I want too see this offseason is the resinging of Fred Smoot. If we lose him I'll be crushed. I dont even wanna think that far ahead though, I'm not giving up on the season yet.

Exactly. If you look at the successful teams, they fill or upgrade a few spots each year, but avoid the major overhauls like we are so used to. Now with Gibbs and company here, I expect the Redskins to stop being the "off-season champions". Please!!!

This season isnt over yet- miracles happen in the NFL all the time. Look at when we were 0-5 and went 5-0.

It's not in me to turn my back on anything or anybody I believe in. I can criticize certain players for a lack of execution or intensity in a big game. But I still see this team turning around during the bye week. We have lost four games by a total of 20 points, so it is not too late with this defense to work on the offense and be successful.

The Redskins can very easily go on a little winning streak. Ya gotta believe!

I like the way you think Big C
Joe Gibbs just needs to remind his offense that it's not how long they've been rasta, it's how long it takes them to grow up.
