History about to repeat itself?

In 1981, the 'skins started off 0-5, Gibbs 1st season as the 'Skins coach. Next they play CHICAGO, win and finish the season 8-8. Fast Forward to 2004. The "skins start out 1-4 (might as well be 0-5). The next game is against CHICAGO.

Comments, thoughts?

Nice comparison. I think history will repeat itself and next year is realistically when we run on full cylinders.

*You are now about to enter the Twilight Zone, what you are about to witness...."

This team is so, soooo close I really believe they can finish 8-8, probably even better than that

Maybe that 1 win difference (0-5 to 1-4) will be the difference from not making the playoffs in '81 to making the playoffs in '04.

maybe we'll suck until they bench brunell... i sure hope they get it fixed... until we can hit 20 yard passes, we won't be able to run or score...

From what I've heard, that '81 win was an ugly win that was sparked by the defensive play. If the same happens, then yeah, getting the win will be awesome, but we'll still have a lot of the same questions concerning the offense. I'm hoping they can find a way to "flip the switch", turn it on and CRUSH the Bears. A dominating road win could be just what this team needs.

I thought the defense did everything they could do to win. Hell the offense gave up more points than the defense

That certainly has been the theme for the past few weeks.
