Bright spot for the offense!!!
We all know about the defense, and I was browsing the league rankings and it's really amazing how good we are across the board considering all of the injuries that the defense has had. #1 total, #2 vs. run, #8 in pts allowed, #4 vs the pass, tied for #8 in picks, but we all know it is the offense that has struggled. Well I found a bright spot, somewhat.
Our offense is the 4th least penalized!!!! Small consolation especially considering how last week's game ended I know. I've got to find something to get excited about, some area of improvement offensively that Gibbs has brought. Only Indy, the Jets and Seattle have drawn less penalties! That says something. I won't bring up the dreadful offensive numbers, although our running game is in the top half of the league at #15. If our passing game was #15, I don't even want to think how different our team would be. Oh, I read a quote from Brunell that was just classic. "You don't feed off it, you never want it to happen and you certainly hear it,'' Brunell said of the fans' displeasure with him. ``It's frustrating because you're not going to be perfect. You're not going to hit every throw. You'd certainly like to, but you just go out there and do your best.'' One last bright spot, Mark Brunell is rated higher than last year's co-MVP, Steve McNair! What this means, who knows. |

That's what's really odd. Our 3rd down % is bad, but our TOP is pretty good.....they usually go hand-in-hand...

anyway, you DIDN'T back up your statement. even if you did mention we have one of the worst offenses in the league, you didn't argue why its all Gibbs's fault. he can't execute the plays too. |

So you're a smoker, congrats. Now please stop using an emoticon with every post. It kinda defeats the purpose, you know?
