Flozell Adams at right tackle?

I wouldn't be against it. And no I don't care about him being an ex-Cowboy. If he can be a short term solution at RT I say go for it.

I'm of the same opinion. Whatever helps, but I want him gone ASAP.

Kind of like when Deion was here, I just really don't like him as a person.

Even disregarding his ex-Cowboyness, they let him go without any real backup, he was notorious for penalties, and just bad play. I would rather not bring him here, even as a stopgap.

Re: Flozell Adams at right tackle?

Redskins talking to Flozell Adams « DC Pro Sports Report

"He simply can’t handle the speedy edge rushers you get when playing left tackle. I can see Adams as a one-or-two-year bridge at right tackle. Pair him with Russell Okung at left tackle and the Redskins offensive line in 2010 might be semi-respectable. Until the first injury, of course…"

Re: Flozell Adams at right tackle?

I'd love to bring in Adams as a bridge RT.

Re: Flozell Adams at right tackle?

Absolutely not and it has NOTHING to do with him being a Cowboy. He gets beat way too much and is one of the dirtier players in the league...hence why he has to trip, kick and leg whip DEs illegally.

We'd be better off with Levi Jones and maybe even Stephen Heyer if he steps up even slightly.

If we bring in Flozell, we might as well get Richie Incognito too.

Re: Flozell Adams at right tackle?

I don't remember him getting beat that often at all. Penalties and dirty play? Sure.

He didn't get beat all that often BECAUSE of the penalties and dirty play. I don't mind us signing a former cowboys as much as I mind us signing him because of the type of player he is. However, if we can get production out of him at RT and he is the most viable option we have, those feeling should be put aside for a season or two for the betterment of the team.

That's the real question isn't it? There seems to be a lot of assumption that these players who are being traded or let go will give us better production. I'm not so sure. This is going to be an interesting first year for our new regime. Hopefully we'll be sitting here at the end of the season talking about how smart they are. Hopefully.
