2010 Hard Knocks on HBO: The Jets

A bit unrelated to the Redskins, but I am watching the new season of Hard Knocks with the Jets. Just thought I would open up a new thread to discuss the show for those that are watching. Pretty interesting insight to training camps.

PS: Mods, feel free to move this if this not the appropriate venue for this thread.

Re: 2010 Hard Knocks on HBO: The Jets

I haven't watched a lot of the previous Hard Knocks, but I just watched the first episode and I will say I'm into it now. Even though it's not the Skins playing, I'd rather watch a different team on there because I don't want the Skins to have that constance presence of cameras around as they're trying to get down to business.

I like Rex Ryan too, he's got a great attitude haha. I can definitely see where KSK got their impression of him with how he acted in this first episode. Looking forward to watching the rest of the episodes, especially the one after they play the 'Skins in the preseason, just to get a little insight as to how opponents prepare for us, even if it is only preseason.

I think I caught one or two episodes of the season with the Ravens. I am def into it too, it was an interesting episode, even my wife watched a little bit and found it interesting as well.

its a great show, and the fact their filming it with the jets makes it even better. I like the jets with their badass "I'm gonna punch you in the mouth" defense, and their superstar players. But rex ryan is a hell of a coach, and I think watching him is a treat.

I know Rex Ryan is a cocky SOB, I used to hate the guy but after that episode last night I think I'm becoming a fan.

Oh if anything I hate him more after last night. I cannot stand his pompous mouth. But man, Hard Knocks is some great television.

I thought it was cool to see some other sides of him. Joking around with players and coaches, sneaking snacks, having lunch at "cafe Ryan", the guy is a real character.

Re: 2010 Hard Knocks on HBO: The Jets

Anyone else get the impression that Joe Namath was a bit of an annoyance to the coaches when he was watching tape with them and breaking down Sanchez and the way he holds his hands on the snap? Even Sanchez seemed a little put off by him.

Sanchez couldn't get the snap when it started raining, I found that pretty funny. JN was just trying to help out I didn't pick up on him annoying anyone.

On another topic Kris Jenkins, (who was a 4-3 tackle and switched to the nose when he joined the Jets) is a pure beast. That was good stuff on those goal line drills.

10 fumbles and 20 INTs with the league's best offensive line and running game last year.

He's a turnover machine. I'm SO happy he's not here. We likely would not have McNabb now either.

Yeah I got that vibe also but I loved his response when they asked him about his partying... Basicly saying that he was partying on the field but the hard work was off the field...
