Re: DT now a Panther
Would've liked to see him here. Would've finally liked a tall young target. Ah well.

Re: DT now a Panther
Wish him the best of luck. Hope this decision doesn't come back to bite us at some point.

Re: DT now a Panther
GTripp nightmare scenario: Jimmy Clausen and DT become a Manning/Harrison combination and dominate for 10 years.

Re: DT now a Panther
Didn't take him long to find a job, the question now is, will he be willing to go to work.

Re: DT now a Panther
If he has some bad habits, he may have not learned his lesson geting picked up so quick. It just seems he was given a hard time. Regardless of when he was drafted, he still contributed and seemingly more valuable than Roydell Williams. A ton of money wasn't saved cutting him either.

Re: DT now a Panther
Is it some kind of...well kept secret how much we need a legit #1 reciever? Anybody think the Shanahan's, the other 48 coaches, scouts and front office people are unaware of this?
If DT had shown any sense over the last 3 years of being a reliable, hard working, producing starter, anybody really think he would not be starting....now?

That is why a guy like Shanny is SO damn valuable. I would keep the bastard forever hoping he would get it. I don't think emotion is part of the equation for MS. AND it should not be or?????? YOU have the Redskins roster problems. AND finally it is....ridiculous that I as a fan, (even if I was an exceptionally astute fan) am qualified in ANY way to make those decisions.

But Gibbs was the same way he would label players starters and there was no challenging for the roster spot it seemed. Loyal to the end I guess. This new coaching staff is impressing me all the time. You either perform or your gone. There is little time to wait for a player to "get it." |

Re: DT now a Panther
YOU are correct CRR. This team has wasted way to much money and time on guys that should not have been aquired....AND then waiting forever for the "never to come" pay off. It is SERIOUSLY refreshing that the new regime can cut ties, walk away with the "come bust your ass and maybe you can be a proud Redskin" philosphy for he next candidate..........
Shanny talks continuosly of "building something here" type jargon...Love it!
