Opening Game for Sept 2004
I understand that the NFL owners will announce at their meeting later today - or possibly tomorrow - that the Thursday night opening game for 2004 will be the Colts against the Pats in a rematch of the AFC Championship Game from last year.
I also understand that the Chiefs will play the Broncos in one of the other "national games" on the first weekend (either Sunday night or Monday night). The other "national game" on the first weekend will feature either Green Bay or Chicago but that has not yet been determined. Keep your ears open for the formal announcement here...

Daseal:
Not for opening week. I hear that ABC is pushing hard for one of the meetings to be on MNF.

Good for ABC. First they got rid of Dennis Miller and now trying to get skins on MNF. They're slowly coming around!

Any day for Dallas
undefined Any day would be good day to beat Dallas. Man I hate that team. I doubt we will play them on Thanksgiving since we played them a couple of years ago then. Monday night looks great.
Lets hope the rivalry really heats up again. Most Cowgirl fans dont know we are big rivals.

I liked the Idea they did last year, of having the conference final re-matches on Sunday/Monday night football. I like how they are kicking the year off the same way, I would have liked to see Philadelphia play Carolina week one as well. That Philadalphia vs Green Bay rematch would have been attractive as well. Who do you guys think we open the season up against? I'm rooting to open up against the Lions, I think they are a team that hasent really come on yet, and could make a run towards the middle/end of the year.

I might end up getting a job in Texas, where the closest city is Dallas. I would love to go to a Dallas home game wearing all my Skins stuff. I cant stand how many Dallas fans are at Skins games. I hope all the bandwagon fans get their acts together with Gibbs back and teh Skins home games are finally again mostly skins fans. Its been sick in recent years how the ratio has changed

We'll see how it plays out. I dated a girl that was a Cowboys fan once... in less that a month though she saw my passion for teh Skins and realized shed be better off not rooting for Dallas around me and became a Skins fan.
Until we broke up atleast, but I did my best with her.
