Skins vs Carolina Pre Game

Redskins needed more help from rookie class - Washington Redskins Blog- ESPN

Gotta agree with Keim...disappointing to say the least. Bottomline, Skins should have gone Dline or Safety higher. Should have never never traded out of the 4th for what they got.

Re: Skins vs Carolina Pre Game

I'm looking at a lot of mock drafts and if we don't go freaking corner (which a ton project us to go) there are a couple of great safety options available. Unfortunately the DT class doesn't look as rich as it was last year, but we should be able to get some really strong ILB/S help where we should pick.

This defense is so bad right now Beast mode Rugby Kid would go for a hundred on us. But maybe we get another key turnover and Kirk has a great day, I'll say Skins 31, Panthers 28

This is exactly what I would say, watch out for all these guys, especially Olsen since TE's have given the Redskins fits. Don't underestimate Carolina's losing record.

Facing Josh Norman in prime time will add fuel for Cam Newton - Washington Redskins Blog- ESPN

I am all about making the playoffs but if we go with this team its gone be one and done. I honestly rather have the higher draft pic and a easier schedule next year when we could make some real noise in the playoffs.

23-20 Cats.

Really? If we get in and go one and done how much higher of a draft pick or how much easier will our schedule be? No way. Being a playoff team is what it is all about. Only way to win a championship. Plus if we get in and have to play Detroit you give us no shot? We played them in Detroit and were seconds from winning?
Plus schedule strength changes. Injuries happen. Teams take shits. Before this year started which was a tougher game Detroit or Green Bay?

So much so that you would forego the chance to move up a few spots in the draft?

Doesn't matter. Detroit has a solid, consistent defense, while ours isn't. They shut us down for 3 quarters. I know if
Mr. Fumblitis didn't do his thing near the goal line we would have won, but that
Lion's defense is consistent and dependable. I don't think we can say the same about our defense.

We will lose this game. Then win final two is my guess. Will get in playoffs if the cards lay out right

You've been in the Detroit area too long. Or maybe not long enough to know their playoff history. My point is that the Detroit Lions are the choking dogs of NFL playoff football. Of course we would beat them in the playoffs.

Times change and so do teams. I moved from
Lanham to Downriver Detroit when I was 4. Lions always blew the close games for decades, now they win them. Last time we beat the Lions was when Zorn was the HC I believe. Times change there bud. You better hope for a Lions' victory this weekend or this whole discussion is moot. I don't see 3 teams from the east making it, unless the
Buccaneers really take a dive. Still
I would love the Skins to get redemption beating the Lions in a rematch!!!!!

Cant wait to see how Norman handles this one.
I hope he doesn't get too jacked up.
Sometimes he can be a penalty machine.

I think we get the blowout this weekend. Carolina secondary is just terrible and I think this is the game Josh Norman has circled...not the Giants, Cowboys, etc. This is his game...he's gonna be all over the field. I think we crush them and all the fans are like Ozzy says "flying high again"...of course I think Ozzy was referring to something else....
