Skins crush the Bears postgame thread
Great win! It is indeed a week to week league ! The Bears almost beat the Packers last week in a close game.
Feels good to shake Monday's nightmare off ! Positives: -KC. Good mobility in the pocket. Overthrew some receivers but good game IMO. -Running game. Seems Mack Brown will turn out to be a nice addition to our backfield. By the way we're 0-5 when running the ball less than 20 times per game, and 8-1-1 when running it 20+. -DJax. -Pressure on the QB. The announcer called Preston Smith "the star of this defense", this is absolutely NOT accurate, but it feels good that he finally had a significantly good game! Pressure lead to turnovers, 4 of the 5 INTs were gifts. -ILB play. Foster again had a big game, he and Compton made plays in the backfield. I really felt like with a good defensive line and an improved secondary (IMO they looked weak despite the INTs) this defense can be solid next year. Even without a great playmaker at ILB. Negatives: -Vernon Davis again dropped a TD, that would've put the game away earlier. If Reed can't stay healthy, that can become an issue at a position where we felt we were strong. -3rd down defense. They really seemed to be unable to get off the field without the turnovers. -Secondary. I know they got 5 INTs, but 4 of them were gifts. Matt Barkley having 318 passing yards on us is unacceptable. Great WIN! HTTR ! Only REAL negative is we have to cheer for the Cowboys on Monday. If they beat the Lions we control our destiny again !

Re: Skins crush the Bears postgame thread
You could see from the beginning of the game that mcvay was gonna run the ball. Glad we made that commitment becuase we win when we do. We lose when we don't. It's really simple.
Guys who I've been crushing lately had big games: Preston smith, breeland Josh Norman had a dominating performance. Chris Baker had a monster game. Desean Jackson and Chris Thompson big moments. Rob and cousins were just steady and focused. Was it me or did the Oline maybe looked the best all year? Was that Lauvao at right guard? I thought he was great.

We need a poster made to hang in the coaches box so McVay sees this during the game |

Norman also had a really solid game, pretty much like he did all season, great acquisition. But IMO Breeland didn't. And I used to be a fan of the guy. His first INT was a really bad throw, he just had the concentration to make a good catch. His 2nd INT was a really good defensive play... by Norman! Who deflected the ball right into Breeland's arms. And I don't remember Bashaud making any other significant play, while I remember him getting beaten several times.

Re: Skins crush the Bears postgame thread
Was a cold one but I enjoyed it and I'll say something, Chicago is a great city. Soldier field is awesome too.
Positives Matt Santa Claus Barkley... Kirk was awesome again, he's a great guy off the field and on it. He should have had 4 tds if VD had hands in the end zone.. Wth is up with him and drops?? Run game was good, Oline was great. Did we give up a sack? Trent Williams is ridiculous, saw him live at OU but man seeing him in the NFL the last few years dude is our best player. How about Djax?? Idk if we need to let him go after all folks. PG did his thing like always. Psmith shows up against bad lines but it's better than nothing. RK was doubled a few times which helped Smith. Baker plays hard almost Every snap. Josh Norman is elite and worth the money. Other than that it was good to win and stay alive. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk

We did NOT give up a sack, really good game by the O-line ! I think if we have the cap space we have to keep DJax. With Reed often injured and Vernon Davis dropping sure TDs 2 weeks in a row, we might need every weapon we can get in the passing game. I know Doctson should be ready next season, Pierre Garçon is gold and Crowder is great, but depth is a good thing, injuries happen, we know a lot about that...

Without him are we sure that we would consider Pierre Garçon and Jamison Crowder elite?

He wasn't all that active this week...but he did at least have a couple of catches and at least one decent block
