Best Gibbs Quote Ever
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slu...v=ap&type=lgns
This is an AP article on Yahoo! Sports about the difficult years Tom Tupa and John Hall had in 2004. At the bottom, the author mentions the importance of the relationship between holder/place kicker (Tupa typically holds for Hall), and Gibbs says this: ``A holder for some players is like a `binky' -- you can give them the wrong one and they won't like it,'' Gibbs said. Looks like Grandpa Joe is starting to confuse his players and his grandkids... Last edited by MonkManiac; 08-12-2005 at 11:17 AM. Reason: grammatical |

Re: Best Gibbs Quote Ever
I think it's safe to say this is the first time a coach has ever used the word 'binky' when describing something football related. LOL

Re: Best Gibbs Quote Ever
I love Gibbs and some of his quotes, but nothing will ever compare to Jim Mora Sr. saying "diddly poo."

Re: Best Gibbs Quote Ever
No... crlesh was correct...a binky is a pacifier, not a blanket.

I did a Google search for Binky. And much to my surprise I found a dog
Love the shirt on that kid in the background, must be Joe Gibbs' grandson
