Ramsey and Brunell Trading Places???
Okay, after game one Ramsey looked extremely uncomfortable. He said on that INT that the ball came out wrong in his hands....translation, he put too much air under the ball. Of course, it would help for the dump off receiver to run a route past the first down marker! :frusty:
Anyways, for the brief time that Brunell had came in, he looked alot more comfortable than Ramsey, and performed pretty good....at least from what I got to see of the game. I didn't get to see Campbell at all, but others I have talked to said he preformed pretty well. I am worried about Ramsey though..I know it's just the first preseason game, but leaving your first team offense in for nearly the entire half is not a good sign!

Re: Ramsey and Brunell Trading Places???
Ramsey seemed too "fidgety" in my opinion. Our O-line gave him good protection, but somehow he seemed like he's rushing his passes. He overthew couple of passes to Patten when he was open. Brunell did look good, he showed marked improvement over his performance last year....wish I could say the same about Ramsey. I've been a Ramsey supporter for years now, but he's not showing me any improvements.

Re: Ramsey and Brunell Trading Places???
I'm not too worried about a skins QB controversey. Ramsey will be better when he works with the first offense. he didnt have much time to get comfortable and we didnt have much of a running game (although I think we could have). Brunell did look suprisingly good compared to last year's performance, but he still did what he did last year and anyone in their right mind wouldn't trust a season to him.

Plus remember that Brunell was playing against mainly back-ups. Ramsey seemed nervous. I think he will be much more comforable by the time the season rolls around.

I really hope so. Because we all deserve more than what we have been seeing so far. I'm in New Jersey and NFL Network seemed reluctant to show the live action in Carolina, opting to show the Giants's rain delay rather than the non-extisent offense of the Redskins.

Re: Ramsey and Brunell Trading Places???
I'm not sure that Brunell's performance against mostly 2nd team players was good enough to forget the god-awful season he had. Ramsey didn't look great, but its way too early to make any calls just yet. He still has to gel with his receivers, and o-line. That takes time. Training camp just started remember? Tonight was a preseason game - essentially a practice, not everyone looks good in practice...

Preseason is about execution, and he WAS raw. I agree, but pulling the plug has gotten us nowhere, why continue down that road. |

The touchdown came as Dehlomme was running for his life about to be sacked and threw up a prayer off his back foot. It could have just as easily been an int if Springs were back there.
