Round'em up

I say we round up all the guys who trashed gibbs and trashed the redskins, we line them up and essentially for all intents and purposes TAR AND FEATHER THEM by displaying the brutal threads they wrote over the last few weeks!!

Going to work late will never be so so so sweet!!!

Re: Round'em up

Brunell played absolutely horrible for 3 quarters, if he can play anything like he did in the 4th consistantly, then fine. Otherwise, I still don't believe in him.

Dude, I came back to this post to ask if it could be deleted cause I was caught up in the heat of the moment and thought it was a little harsh, but now I'm having second thoughts

Re: Round'em up

Brunell's play was definitely not the problem with the offense. Our offense is moving the ball. Our drive Killers and in turn our offense killer was blitzes which turned to five sacks (Drive Killer). Penalties drive killers. If one of those two did not occur during several of the drives we would be talking much more points. I was one of those who doubted Brunell, but his play was very solid several scrambles out of the pocket to make plays to Cooley, Thrash, 2 scrambles that led to first downs with Santana then the two bombs. Dallas's blitzes created much problems rather than our offense not making plays.

the quick 2yard dump offs either in the scheme or whatever are also drive killers... we FINALLY opened up a bit at the end and we were able to move the ball much faster.

Re: Round'em up

was it him daseal, or the play calling?????

Stop hating on Brunell, when we opened up the passing game, he connected on 2 long clutch plays, give him some credit and admit when you are a little wrong....

Re: Round'em up

Consider me tarred and feathered!

I've never been so happy to be so wrong!

By the way, I'll be enjoying a tall cold one tomorrow, courtesy of my favorite Cowboy fan co-worker. How's that for talking out of both sides of my mouth? :thumb:

I've got to say, though, until about 12:20 a.m. I was busy looking for change to buy him a drink tomorrow!

Hopefully, Gibbs will decide to open up the play-calling a little more in the future, to keep us poor Redskins fans from suffering through flashbacks of 2004 for 3/4 of every game.

Brunell deserves credit for hanging in there and making the clutch throws when they mattered, and leading the Skins to victory.

I'm right there with you, Joe -- feathers and all. But hey, I love it when I'm wrong with an outcome like this!

I think you and I probably overlooked the fact that sooner or later, a Joe Gibbs team will eventually make its mark, and the days of trotting off the field with our tails between our legs in the face of the slightest bit of adversity are gone. Twelve years of past Redskin performances does that to you, though.

Maybe this game truly is the turning point in Gibbs second go 'round in Washington.

Re: Round'em up

Let's just enjoy this one for now.

We stole this one from Dallas, on MNF in front of their crowd and we rained on their stupid ring of honor parade, revenge has never been so damn sweet!

stole is right..payback for their steal from us last year. Big choke by Dallas and Parcells- akin to the sox beating the yankees after trailing 0-3 in last year's alcs.

Re: Round'em up

We just had one of the biggest wins in recent memory, leave it to Daseal to fart in our faces.

Thing is I don't even care.

I'm gonna have a perma-smile for the next 2 weeks.

And lets not forget Parcell is no longer 77-0 when leading in the 4th quarter!
