Second place is the first loser
beating Dalls twice, going to the playoffs, and even barely beating Tampa Bay don't mean a thing because the only way that Redskins are going to be playing next sunday is if the Redskins fans play Madden 2006.
Yeah yeah, some of you are going to say that there is nothing like beating Dallas, not once but twice this season. Here is the thing though, we live in America, the greatest country ever, where there is no prize for second and third places like most other countries. The fact of the matter is that you guys lost and that means you are just as bad as the 31 teams after the SB is played. "But that is none-sence, we are not as bad San Fransisco or the Texans....etc" you guys might say. Well guesse what, next weekend you are going to be doing the same thing they will be doing, watching other teams play. I live in Fairfax,VA and I had to listen to the coworkers every day wondering why and complaining about how no one in the media gives the Skins the respect they deserve. I called him, or at least tried to, yesterday to give him the answer but he wouldn't pick up his phone. I bet it feels good the whole deal with beating Dallas, but here is the thing. See we have been feeling like this for a long time. Thank you Joe Gibbs for trying to make it a rivalry again, because I was starting to believe that the big D sood for DOMINATION over the Redskins. Don't get used to it, cause Bill and the boy will be back next year. |

Here's several reasons why you should be shitting in your pants and instead you are applauding like a moron.
Bill Parcells is coming back. Age in dog years 150. Keyshawn Johnson age 34 Terry Glenn age 34 Drew Bledsoe age 33 By the way whose your Qb of the future or next year for that matter?

You'd trade places with us in a second -- need a hand down from your high horse?

Re: Second place is the first loser
That is such a worthless and non-sensical post that it really does not deserve a response. To say that every team that does not win the Super Bowl is in the same boat displays a fundamental misunderstanding of how you build a team and actually make Super Bowl runs (when was the last time the Boys won the big game by the way?). I guess he is just another one of these jokers who live in Redskins country and enjoy cheering for the Cowboys just to be as annoying as possible. He clearly does not understand the game of football and cannot appreciate a team that battled extremely hard and demonstrated that they had the heart to win 6 games in a row when the Cowboys couldn't pull it together to make a run. Where were the posts on the list after the Cowboys got smashed 35-7 at FedEx? Guess it is easy to criticize when the Skins lose but if I'm not mistaken they were playing on January 14 while the Cowboys are sitting at home in Irving and wondering what went wrong. All these Cowboys fans are total bandwagon folks anyway, they started cheering for the Boys when either Staubach or Aikman were winning Super Bowls so they just like finding a team that wins some games and jumping on board...why don't you go find a Cowboys board and spout off loser and stop trying to make yourself feel better with foolish posts...

Re: Second place is the first loser
BigD, here's the thing. You may say the Redskins are like 31 other teams that didn't reach the ultimate goal, but the fact is, the Redskins are one of 12 teams good enough to qualify for "the second season", or playoffs if you don't know what i mean. That in itself is an accomplishment, no it's not winning the Super Bowl, but we still have a sense that it was a good year simply because we were a part of those 12 teams. The Cowboys can't say that they were a part of that, and that makes it so much better. At least we can say we had a shot at going to the Super Bowl after the season ended, unlike the Cowboys who never had a shot once the regular season was over.

Re: Second place is the first loser
The thing is that the teams that got to play beyond week 17 had done enough right to make the playoffs and play for a few more weeks unlike those teams that didn't make the cut. So those teams are the first losers because their season ended before anyone elses did. The Skins season was 18 games long while the CowGirls only played 16 games. That group of teams that only played 16 are the true losers of the league and deal with it.
