A prediction after reading some news

John Abraham will be franchised by the Jets on Feb. 23 and then will be traded to the Redskins for Patrick Ramsey or Lavar Arrington straight up. We have been tade partners with the Jets before and I can see the same thing happening again.

Hopefully it's arrington, but Abraham's heart has been questioned in his carreer, I don't know if he's the kind of person Gibbs is looking for?

Ok his hearth hasn't been question he didn't play in the playoffs 2 years ago because he was hurth and he didn't had a contract and didn't wanted to risk further injury when he didn't knew he will get resign it was a bussiness decision

we as fan might not like it but I understand his point of view imagine he plays and agrevates the injury maybe to the point that he has to sit the next year or at least 8 month... no franchise tag, no signing bonus no nothing I'm sorry but it's his carrier if it ends early they don't have anything else going.... it's like the center of minesota this year Brith i think his name is he had an hernia needed surgery he said he would play hurth if the team warrenty his salary for the 2006 season the team didn't want 2 do that so he went to IR is passion but it also bussines they don't want to take risk if it going to mean no salary next year.

BIG C ud rather trade arrington than ramsey?? franchising abraham would mean he would hav a big cap number, bad news
The franchise tag is only to secure the player before the trade it mean squad once he is traded because the team the signs him allready has agreed with the player for a long term contract.

It just buys the team more time to make it happend and not lose him in FA and get nothing for him

but it's true he wants big time money, money you don't have so I don't see it happening and I also believe losing ramsey is way better than losing LA.

ANd with the CBA not sign yet you can only spred a singing bonus for 4 years that hurths the chances of a long term big contract

Can someone provide us with a Nowegian/brokeback cowboy translation for the above? My spell check just will not correct it! Maybe it's the lack of punctuation, but I can't be sure. Do the schools in brokeback-cowboy land teach punctuation?

I'm assuming it would also have to involve some sort of long-term contract...but then why franchise him? Just do a sign-and-trade. Could you elaborate on what "news" you are referring to? Whole thing seems unlikely to me at the moment...though a legit pass rusher like Abraham would be a blessing...

i do not think it will happen unless the skins and abraham can reach some kind of understanding as to what a long term deal would look like.. same as with moss

PRam may be on his way out, but not for nothing. I kind of like what diehardskin2982 had to say:

My link... it not saying anything but that its exspected that Jets will franchise him. But I could see this situation turning out like this because

A: It was rumored on ESPN that there was going to be a trade Ramsey for Abraham earlier in the season.

B: The deal could happen, it would be like the Champ for Portis deal. Numbers can always be worked out to fit under the cap.

C: Why would the jets do it?~ To get something for a person they would otherwise just lose for nothing in the offseason."

DaBoyz, here's some FB for you! We swept DaBrokebackBoyz, and the E-girls this year, went 5-1 in the NFC East, and we expect to do the same or better in '06!

Oh, and who did ya'll beat in the Playoffs this past ye........... Ohhhh, my bad! Ya'll didn't quite make it to any playoffs, did you!

And just where was your team when the Redskins won their First NFL Championship in the '30s?

Man people like you it's what gives your fan base a bad name and thats sad because in this site I've found a lot of open minded well founded individuals with value opinions and a lot of insight and not the usual WOOOO THE REDSKINS RULEEEEE type.

But really be smart about it if 1 season get's you by for the last 10 -12 years that your team has done squat and was sweep every season by our team even in the bad years when we couldn't beat any team but we still beat yours, but hey what ever gets you trough the night.

And I'm not saying the Cowboys have beeen amazing they have pretty much sucked the last 6 years ( and I know we went to the playoffs 2 years ago but I don't believe we had the team that deserve it - hated Carter-) but we're also finally comming around we have a good team.

And as as said in tons of post your team its going in the right direction they we're the stronger team in our division at season ends and it showed gibbs and williams has done a great job turning the franchise around.

For me that's great I really look foward for this next season because our division finally looks like the Ruler that it is, the division with more SB trophyes and apperences. The 4 team look good, they all could be playoffs contenders and SB representatives we each have our holes to fix to get there but it's going to be verry competitive division.

And even that we lost this year it was great to get that rivally back it's is good to have again that division rival and that kind of push and energy before those games that was missing the last couple of years.

First off, the season sweep of Dallas this year did more than just let me sleep through the night. It reinvigorated our rivalry, which is priceless in my book. But by bringing up the 13 straight games you are really just doing the same thing.

Secondly, there is only one SB winner each year. Everybody else is trying to get where Pittsburgh is right now. But its a process, and you're abso-fricking-lutely right that Gibbs and Williams have us on the right track. Finally we're seeing some progression.

Lastly, we'll see what shakes this season. I don't need a Cowboys fan to give us any props, but I'll take it.

Who the hell is this guy?

Buddy, your team was disgraced not once, but twice on national television this year. In the second game your boys quit. How did that ring of honor ceremony go?? Did you hear Troy Aikman absolutely tearing you apart. Your post is pretty funny.

Wait until Gibbs humiliates you again on Turkey day. Taylor is going to end Bledsoe's career...

It is funny, I haven't seen a Cowboys jersey around here since November. Why is that?

Re: A prediction after reading some news

We don't have the money to pay Abraham, which is exactly what he wants.....P......A......I.......D. PAID. And the Jets would be stupid to trade Abraham for Ramsey.......staight up......or Arrington for that matter. Keep dreaming man because that is exactly what this trade would be.
