Looking back at the 04 Draft

I was just thinking about something while I was looking at a Cooley highlight video. How good does that 04 draft look? The Skins were debating whether they should pick Taylor or Kellen Winslow and ended up going with Taylor (Thank God) and then traded into the the third round to select Cooley. I don't know what Winslow's stats are for the 2 or 3 games he's been on the field, but I have to say, no matter what happens with the Sean Taylor legal situation, we made the right choice.

i too think we made the right choice by taking taylor. i was at fedex that day for the draft party and was so excited when the called sean's name.we dont know about the full potential of winslow yet but i think taylors ceiling is much higher

Re: Looking back at the 04 Draft

Yeah, I was praying that day two years ago that they would take Taylor over Winslow. KW2 just seems like a complete prick, which makes that video clip so much sweeter. And I bet the Browns would rather have Chris than the non-motorcycle ridin' (or football playin') loudmouth THAT THEY TRADED UP FOR. Cooley might turn out to be an all-time great draft pick for the Skins and hopefully ST avoids jail time (which would effectively end his career . . . ).

I don't Know, the Ravens had two guy go to trial and come out relatively unscratched.

Well I might disagree that Jamal Lewis was the same after as he was before. But beyond that I'd just point out that they didn't face three years minimum (and MANDATORY) on three counts. If my UVa/USC (as opposed to Jeff Bostic's lousy Clemson) math serves that is minimum nine years if he was convicted on all three counts . . . that is a career ender. I can't fathom that actually happening, but if he is convicted - from what I have heard - there is no way of getting that jail time reduced.

Oh so funny! Seeing how KW hasn't worked in two years I hope he had time to work on his lower body strength.
