Culpepper available...

A friend tells me that the Vikings want to part company with Duante Culpepper and that they are talking with the Jets and Rams and Raiders. Denny Green just "locked up" Kurt Warner for 3 years - don't ask me why but he did - so Arizona is not a likely landing place for Culpepper.

The Vikes' problem is that the best offer then can get so far for a QB with three torn ligaments in one knee who is obviously not happy in Minnesota and about whom the Vikes are not fully happy either is a third pick this year and a third pick next year. My friend says the Vikes are holding out for a first round pick - - but might settle for a second round pick if it were and early second round pick.

Thought you'd like to know...

We don't need him. But maybe he will make his way back to Florida to play in Miami

I think that's the most likely landing spot for Culpepper, the Dolphins know they need a QB. Culpepper played college ball at UCF...anyone know where's he originally from? I'm being lazy and don't feel like looking it up.

However, if you put him into that offense with Chambers, Williams and Brown, they could be something special. That's all assuming that Daunte gets back to where he as before this season. I always thought he was a product of playing with Moss, but I think that if he learns to play a little bit more efficiently he can be very good again.

Re: Culpepper available...

we obviously don't need him, but I think it's sad that last year they shipped off Randy moss because they wanted Pepp to be the face of the team, now they want to trade him away too.

they will go with brad next year. much more of a childress type of player, i think.

Re: Culpepper available...

i agree, Steveo(aka Barf), the media made Moss out to be a cancer and a thug when he really didnt do anything wrong. By the way i still say he is the best WR in the league but only when he is healthy. He was known for not getting hurt and now he cant seem to stay healthy.

Oh yeah and i heard he wants out of Oakland already and just so u guys know, I wouldnt mind having another Moss on the Redskins.

Re: Culpepper available...

I have no problem with Randy Moss coming here.
If Gibbs lets him onboard he'll have his head on straight.

These kids are getting hit hard in the pocket and off teams for BS acts. I think you will see it be handled.

peace

Re: Culpepper available...

Don't want Culpepper but a trade for Randy Moss would be ridiculous. But I don't think you'll see anything like that happen before they figure out what will happen with Sean Taylor. Pockets are 'closed' until that happens...

Re: Culpepper available...

we had the first shot at randy moss last time he was free and gibbs said no thanks the first day. It wasn't that long after he watched randy walk off the field with time left though. This year i actually saw him doing the opposite down the stretch and trying to force himself into plays and being called back (the goal line plays near the end of a game... 4 tries and they couldn't get it in to win and they kept Mr Redzone on the sideline the entire time over his vehement objections). He does seem to be the kind of guy that's never happy though. He liked RC better than daunte after the fact, he says he's happy to be a raider and then a year later he'd rather be coached by dennis green etc.

I don't think it'll happen.

Re: Culpepper available...

i would be really surprised if culpepper is ready to play this season.that was one of the worst looking knee injuries ive ever seen.it basically blew his knee apart.and if he at least tries to play this year,it isnt going to be the qb everyone is used to seeing
