Wild Card Skins vs. Bucs
Just revisited the WC game. It seems I envied the Bucs on every aspect of the game except on a defensive comparison. Simeon Rice showed his amazing ability as did P Daniels but hopefully A Carter will be of an equal annoyance to O Lines Noticed Brunell was showing significant signs of aging. Although, Portis was banged up and the running game beaten down, Brunell, played smart but was useless. After watching Chris Simms (who was awesome in that game) it really has me leaning toward Brunell starting the first couple of games and letting Campbell build up experience and lead his new team with Mark ready for insurance not the other way around. Im a little worried still that the Redskins are a bunch of Diamonds kept in a glass jar. From O-Line health with no premier backup , QB changeover (Mark was great last year, but it has to happen),DB depth but I guess every team rolls the dice every year with those scenarios. It seems that the team is too well coached and defensively couldn't falter just think Offense is more critical now then ever.

Re: Wild Card Skins vs. Bucs
I think Brunell was affected by the knee injury he suffered on December 24 against the Giants and also the lack of a second WR. As much as I'd love to see 17 on the field, I don't believe that this is the year to make that change.

I can't really see his numbers going any higher than last year. If I had to bet, I'd probably say that his YPC will stay the same or go up as well as his TDs, but I think his receptions total is going to drop.

Re: Wild Card Skins vs. Bucs
I feel like Cooley's main job will be to turn an extra pass rusher, ie a blitzing linebacker, into a coverman, which means that there will probably be less pressure on the QB on passing downs. We now have the ability to put multiple WR threats on the field at once and with a good TE like Cooley defenses will be hard pressed to send extra rushers. At least that's my two cents.

Re: Wild Card Skins vs. Bucs
Wasn't Cooley hurt in that game too? I think the whole team went into the game banged up and the fact that they came out with a W shows how much heart they have and the great job the coaching staff did.
p.s. As far as the media is concerned it seems like Cooley isn't even on the Roster. He will be a difference maker this year.

It was the mediots! Cooley wasn't listed as a TE, but as a FB on the NFL PB ballot. Everyone knows the H-Back is really a TE in disguise! A C.Portis disguise-master wannabe on the field!

Re: Wild Card Skins vs. Bucs
Thomas' absence, Wynn's injury, Taylor's ejection and Portis' injury all had a huge effect on the game. Our pass defense was severely hampered when Wynn and Taylor left. Cary Conklin would have looked good against us in that game.

Re: Wild Card Skins vs. Bucs
Guys, I watched that game replay on the NFL network as well this weekend and it was an AWAY game against a great defense and we were missing players. That was pretty much the answer to a lot of our problems. Our Defense played amazing and everything else stunk. The Skins basically need a heathly Brunell and a healthy OLine to be their best.

Re: Wild Card Skins vs. Bucs
Brunell or possibly Campbell have the potential to thrive. Its gonna be pick your poision for opposing defenses. Do we stop portis or stop moss? Now throw randel el and lloyd into to that. and cooley? I like our chances
