not daniels. We need him and andre to work together. DEs is where it is at on defense. Pressure in the backfield is what makes the team. We haven't had that these past few years and this year i really see that it is possible to have a strong d-line that puts pressure on the QB. What we gave up in pressure the past few years has been run defense. Speedy recovery to all our players.

He'll be fine. Can you sprain your back?? If you dont have a back your not moving anywhere as I know all too well. Daniels is a tank hell be ready week 1.

Daniels is going to be just fine. He's not a youngster anymore, they know what he can do, and he sure don't need to prove anything in the pre-season. They'll rest him for a week or two and he'll be ready to go when it matters.

It's better that the starters sustain injuries during the preseason allowing enough time to recover.

I agree. As long as most of them are back by the season opener i think we'll be good.

Exactly, if there is one good thing to get out of this mess, it is that they are getting hurt now. It is much better than this happening during the regular season.

Sounds like his situation isn't that serious

"He'll be fine," assistant head coach/defense Gregg Williams said. "It'll be good for him. He doesn't need to show me anything in preseason. He'll be ready to go."

Some of these minor injuries to our starters will allow a good long look at the backups. I am OK will all of our injuries so far, except Springs, who may not be ready Week 1. I am sure with all of the OTA work that Daniels and Carter know how to play together and Springs and Portis work alone to some degree in their positions, so their not being out there does not hurt anyone else's learning.

Everyone notice who has been taking his spot on the line? Washington. This guy is a beast. Is there any doubt he is the best LB we've had in the last 5 years. I love ya LA but this guy is smaller than you and willingly taking snaps at DE for the good of the team. What a great pickup.

Honestly, Marcus Washington might be the most under-rated player in the NFL. I know every team has under-rated guys that are overlooked, but if you watch highlights or an entire game relplayed and just watch Marcus Washington you just think to yourself "thats how you play the game". I think he's easily the best linebacker in the NFC East and there arent many that are better than him in the league.
