LA Responds to Critizism
Giants' Arrington responds to jabs from former teammates - NFL - Yahoo! Sports
He's clearly still got a bug up his ass about Gibbs. At least he didn't refute that he didn't understand the playbook. |

Re: LA Responds to Critizism
i can't wait till the game to see arrington get knocked out by sellers
i just saw the interview on tv and i think lavar is a big dick now! he kept our playbook, which is a bitchy thing and also what that interview didn't say is that lavar said, when asked would u of done anything diffrently?, he answered "get the hell out, sorry it took 2 years to get out" i think that lavar will b a non-fator, even though it feels as though he will be a big factor. thats my perdiction this week |

Re: LA Responds to Critizism
after watching that video, I honostly feel he is totally pissed off by not being a Redskin. I have watched other interviews of people playing their former teams and have not seen so much annimosity that LaVar carries. He does blame Gibbs for not being here, that is for sure. LaVar is a very emotional guy. he feels betrayed to an extent for putting everything he had into the Skins. But, once LaVar figures out that the NFL is a multi billion dollar business and things like that happen, he will feel a lot better. I dont think he really wanted to play with anyone but the Redskins. and unfortunately the people that make the decisions for the Redskins didn't feel the same way. I may get bashed for sort of taking up for LaVar, as I usually do, but hey I like the guy. Like I said before, I hope he stinks it up twice a year and the bug dirtbags up front and sellers knock that funny little face mast of his off. but, I also hope he doesnt get a clean shot on Brunell. As old and fragile as Brunell is, he may break in half.

Re: LA Responds to Critizism
Lavar keeps saying that Lindsey, Gibbs and Shawn Springs are just "showing themselves" to everyone. Well god help us, we wouldn't want a linebackers coach who takes less than stellar talent and makes them play well and disciplined as a unit, a head coach who already has his bust in the hall, and a DB who the defense is missing greatly because HE IS AN IMPACT PLAYER, to show themselves. These guys "show themselves" with their production. Lavar needs to shut up, he sounds stupid.

"I've been feeling that ever since the fans here have been feeling like maybe they shouldn't have brought me here," he said, "that's the emotion I'm riding. Not that I need to prove something to the Redskins. I need to establish who I am within this organization, within this community. That's what I'm riding on. And I'm high on it right now."
Oh, he's high all right...... Whiff........ |

I said when JG came back to the team and stole LaVar's thunder there would come a time when we would see the real LaVar. That interview was the real LaVar. Sell those #56 jerseys back to him. |

Re: LA Responds to Critizism
I don't think he has much of a right to open his yap and act like he's actually done something with the Giants organization when he hasn't.
LA needs to stop being such a crybaby and shut his trap and actually PLAY some football instead of acting like he's gonna be such a pivtal part of game on Sunday. He hasn't done anything yet (past few years included), I seriously doubt he'll do anything now. I think the baby needs to go home, grab a bottle and get burped. Cause all that gas is making him quite bitter. |

Re: LA Responds to Critizism
I think he definately feels he has something to prove. People that play like that can unfortunately be dangerous. I am not saying he is going to be, Mean Joe Green wouldn't have much of an impact if our offense is clicking. But, I think the animosity comes from him being so deep into the community, the Redskins, the fans. Even after Shawn Springs little jab about him not knowing the playbook, he said LaVar was a diehard Redskin. I think all this hurt him more emotionally than a lot of people want to say. Even though, he also has to understand the NFL is a business and very rarely do you finish your career with the team that drafted you. I have always been and always will be a fan of LaVar the person, and a fan of LaVar Arrington the player 14 games a year.

Re: LA Responds to Critizism
I read in another article ("60 seconds with Lavar) in which he was asked which coach he would most not like to play for. He said Joe Gibbs. I can't even begin to debate why that is such a ridiculous statement. I wrote LA off long ago when he said, "Whose jersey do you see more of in the stands?" Arrogant SOB. Joe made the right choice sending his sorry ass packing and I'm sure he's not losing any sleep over it.
