Stop The Negative
I know 2-3 isn't great.. and I know we have issues to overcome... but we DO have the talent and we do have smart coaches. All we need is fans that believe and trust... I do!!! Trust in the Skins. Give them the 12th man this weekend. It's time to ROCK and make this season REAL!!!!!!!!!

Re: Stop The Negative
i hear ya. Its a little bit rediculous that people go crazy after one loss. If we lose this week, then it's time to push the panic button because we should crush the titans. SHOULD doesnt equal victory though. Anyway...good point, im with u

Re: Stop The Negative
Expectations were pretty high this year. With the big win over the Jaguars, I think most people looked at Week 5 as the pivotal spot that would either keep us in the middle of the pack or worse if we lost, or propelled us to the upper echelon if we had won.
Going into the Meadowlands, a place where we have had trouble in the past, and getting a divisional win on the road would have been HUGE. Knowing the success we had last year, bringing in and signing the players we all knew we had to have, (wideouts and a defensive end) -- all of this pointed to the Redskins taking the next step towards a championship. A true playoff contender would have marched in Giants Stadium and come out on top. This loss took the wind out of a lot of sails. |

Re: Stop The Negative
The Eagles are 4-1 with less talent than we have.
I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to just blindly accept it. |

Less talent? I don't know. They have the better quarterback, adequate receivers, a good enough line, and they have a tremendous lineup on defense. I'd say on paper, the Skins and Eagles are about even. On the field though ... |

Re: Stop The Negative
It stops at the QB plain and simple. The Eagles have a far superior QB to us, even though he chokes in big games. O-lines are about the same, our receivers and RB are better. Yet, their offense is as smooth as it gets, and ours is erratic.

All very good points.....The QB is where the offense TRULY begins. Yes, running the ball is very much a part of Redskin football, but eventually you will have to throw and make big plays. This year, McNabb's status as a choke artist has been downgraded from Drew Bledsoe status to just above Kobe status....he is playing like the champion he knopws he can be. Now, if fucking MB would just realize that he could also be great and its ok to play like you know you can, then we'd be fine. I dont see a change in QB helping us though. Given, if Brunell gets hurt and JC plays, it will an entirely diff ball club, and I dont think it would be for the better to change in the middle of the season. Mark is our QB. Period. JC is the FUTURE.....look at Philip Rivers! He rode for 2, maybe 3 years and he ( in my opinion) is great. I think JC could turn out the same way, he just needs to age like a fine wine, thats all......

Re: Stop The Negative
If there were any positives, I would stop the negative!
I guess Nick the Kick was 2-2 in extra points. There, I found a positive.

They lost Kearse and their secondary has been injured much more than ours and they are still a beast. |

Re: Stop The Negative
I would not say that they have less talent maybe we have more play makers. They do have two strong lnes which may be the difference right now. Remember who they have played. The next couple of weeks will tell where they are.

It will take some time for us to gel like that. Hopefully we won't follow the same track record and change systems again anytime soon. |

Re: Stop The Negative
Campbell is MUCH better than McNabb.
Our WR's are far better than their WR's. Our D is better than their D. ST's may be a push. Just make the change to Campbell and all will be right with the world. |

... Yyyyyeeeeeaaaaaaaahhhhh.... Their D has 23 sacks -- we have 7. They have Lito Sheppard -- we have Carlos Rogers. They have Donovan McNabb -- we have Mark Brunell, until both of his legs get broken, then Gibbs MIGHT pull him in favor of Todd Collins. Campbell could be better than McNabb in the year 2009, but that's just speculation. Portis and Moss are better than Westbrook and Stallworth/Reggie Brown/Greg Lewis, I'll give you that. But right now, those guys have amounted to a 4-1 record to our 2-3. Right now, it's not even close -- the Eagles, until proven otherwise are the class of the NFC East.
