A Sad, sad day =(

I've been a skins fan my whole life. Whenever I see my Skins lose I tend to get bitchy and not very nice to be around. Well, my wife and I watched the game today and I found myself not getting upset as the 2nd half run through. Player after player got hurt, the "D" couldn't stop anything and Brunell and the rest of the "O" basically ran short meaningless plays that just ate up the clock. I think I have lost all excitement for this season, I was almost expecting this lose and therefore it didn't bother me to the point of outside expression. I will continue to watch the rest of the season and still love my Skins for the rest of time but, all this season did was bring back the days of Sanders and Bruce comming in and finishing 8-8. Oh well, hopefully Campell comes in after the bye week and gives us all hope for next season.

Today is a sad day for all Redskins fans....Hail!

That's a pretty good assessment. I have to agree. I'm not particularly upset cause I saw it coming. I mean, all the offense produced was 7 points against a D who gave up 13 to the Titans, but hey they're better than the Skins too.

The worst part is, it seemed like they were spending intelligently this time. Turns out, they need to start the kid or spend on a different QB.

Re: A Sad, sad day =(

DEFENSE..... lame offensive play calling..... oh i know down by 19 lets kick a field goal on 4th and 5 that makes alot of sense... I'm sick of this and some teams are going to get some great draft picks this coming april ... just not us... I'm sick to death of this ... I said something at the begining of the year that I'm very sorry is coming true. That is after the last time we went to the playoffs we went out and spent alot of money on FA... now if I remember correctly we went 8-8 that very next year.... this year i dont think we will make it that far.

This is my post from a different thread. just thought I would throw in my 2 cents.... I totally agree with you

I hate to say this, but that 2000 team would have killed this year's. That team lost 3 games due to having terrible kicking, and was rarely if ever kicked around the way this team has been against Dallas, NY, and Indy. The wheels for that team completely fell off when The Danny forced Norv to start Jeff George over Brad Johnson. The sketchy free agent class of 2006 may set us back 2 seasons with negative cap ramifications.

Re: A Sad, sad day =(

This is the ugliest thing I have ever seen. How on earth, when the game is on the line in the 4th quarter, do we not even take a shot down field?? NOT ONE!!! What the f#@k is going on here? Everyone is hurt, the D is terrible, and we need a QB with an ability to stretch the field. If I see another screen underneath I'm gonna puke. The bye week couldn't come at a better time. I have nothing positive to say about these guys right now.

I'm sure Gibbs well tell us all how proud he is of how hard the team fought, and what a great group of guys he has... ra ra ra. That sounded fine at 2-2, but at 2-5, I don't want to hear it. I want to hear how we're gonna change to improve.

I'm physically ill over this...

Re: A Sad, sad day =(

I agree. All around it was just an ugly, ugly, second half. The team came out deflated and the majority of the team played with no heart.

Jack Kent Cooke would be rolling in his grave if he knew how this current Redskins team is playing. This is not the way he left the Redskins legacy and it's fucking pathetic how bad Synder has let this team become by bringing in flashy names and whipping out big money for nothing.

Really sad day here in Washington.

I wasn't expecting to win, but that was just awful. The defense was horrible, the O-line was a joke, Brunell couldn't throw more than 2 yards at a time, and the playcalling was awful too.

Against a team ranked 32 in Run D I was expecting SOMETHING.

We went in up at the half and just fell apart in all aspects.

Disgusting.

Re: A Sad, sad day =(

Unfortunately we are going to need to get used to it. There is NO quick fix for this problem. I just hope they can make some changes and then show some signs of improvement. It's clear that the defense is one of the worst in the league and there are MULTIPLE positions that need addressed on that side of the ball because the scheme has been figured out by every offensive coordinator in the league.

Here's to 6-10 at best.

Maybe the guys didn't know the game isn't over at halftime. That could explain the sudden drop in performance.

Can we finally retire the all whites already??? It was cute when we got on a roll toward the playoffs last season, but that is a distant memory now.
