Prisco Rates Top 50 Players
CBSSportLine.com's Pete Prisco rates the top 50 players in the NFL. Portis is the highest Redskin at number eleven... two spots behind Champ at nine. Think Clinton'll like that?
The only other entry is LaVar at 31.

I think Ray Lewis is the best player to have a team on, due to his unbelieveable hustle and leadership skills.

Peyton Manning in my book. He hasnt missed a game ever. Consistent 4,000 yard passer. Good attitude. Everything you want in a player. Ray Lewis is #2

Big C, I thought you were going to say Couch! In fact I was thinking maybe the C in Big C stands for Couch. LOL
I'm a big Tomlinson fan.

I have a LT jersey, definitely one of my favorite non-Skins players in the league

As good as Portis is (and he will be a superstar, if he isn't considered one already) I think that for right now Champ Bailey still has the edge because he has proven himself to be, in my and most other people's opinions, the most dominant cornerback in the game. I can't really remember the last time any wideout has really racked up the yards when Bailey was playing. I remember during the pro bowl he really did a good job shutting down Marvin Harrison.

Bailey will have a good year becuase he has a lot of talent around him now as well, so it will make him look even better. Mainly what I mean by that is having lynch in the secondary to help out. But Portis will have a huge year, and I htink he will be the second best all around back in teh league behind LT, simply because LT doesnt have to share offensive stats with any other players.

Part of the reason I like LT so much is that he does so well even though everyone in the stadium knows he's the team's only option. Who are their receivers now anyway?

I think Champ should be higher than Portis right now anyway. Champ is the best corner in the league right now, and Portis is a top 5 RB. It is harder to find a shut down corner then a 1,000+ yard back. Hence my arguement that we shouldn't have had to give up a 2nd rounder for Portis, maybe 3rd or 4th of next year. Don't get me wrong, I love Portis and i think he is going to do amazing things, but it is hard to find a corner as feared as Champ. Now it's time for my boy Fred to take over!!!!

btw- qualcomm stadium sucks! the parking situation is terrible!!! run-down stadium too... it was interesting observing another team's stadium where the fans are split between home and away supporters. the bolts don't have much of a home field advantage... |

These ratings to me are crap. with pressure Manning was destroyed... but i guess that what you get from the same guy who thinks the skins should of picked kw over Taylor. Brady should be #1 no question because regaurdless he has won to superbowls within 3 years, respect the wins please. the guy knows how to win. Vick should be in the top ten. Andre Johnson on this list is a joke hell he didn't even win rookie of the year and coles is was the best pick up of the season in the nfl period

And as a side note: If you play fantasy sports on CBS Sportsline, be sure NOT to use their ratings. You will lose. Play in their leagues, but ignore all of the info they continually dump in front of you. Get the info at a reliable info service, and you have a great shot at winning, because most of the league will be following the Sportsline (Prisco) advice. Been like that for 3 years now, and is not likely to change.

Manning was a monster in the playoffs, except for one game in a blizzard. People have off games sometimes, look at what Manning has done throughout his career, the consisteny, the yards, the completion %, how can you say he isnt the best? I see that Brady is a winner, and he is a good QB, but i dont see him as being the best |

Where would you recommend getting fantasy info? I have tried www.profantasysports.com and they seem okay...but I haven't seen many other alternatives. |
