Reasons to be positive?

1. Only 6 more games to suffer.
2. We can't be any worse next year. Can we?
3. Jason Campbell. Early days, but a promising start and 6 more games to gain experience before next season.
4. We are going to get a high draft pick - certainly top 10, possibly top 5, maybe even no.1. This means the addition of a stud DE or DT or trade down for extra picks.
5. The offense should have got through at least half of Saunders 700 (or was it 7,000?) page play book by the start of next season.
6. We still have some top level talent on of the offensive side of the ball - especially playmakers - Portis, Moss nad Cooley and to a lesser extent ARE and Lloyd.

Of course, a list of current negatives would be longer but as Monty Python sang - always look on the bright side of life.

Our offense is going to get better
Jason Campbell
We have offensive talent: CP, Moss, Cooley, Lloyd, ARE, Some oline
High Draft pick (this could be a negative)
We have GW, Al S., Joe G's (yes, this is a positive as they have been successful everywhere)

Re: Reasons to be positive?

good post, JC is the biggest plus, he'll have some struggles in these 6 games, which is also cool cause he'll learn from it.
Gibbs' teams always play well in dec. too, so don't be surprised if we beat some of these teams that sleep on us!

Jason Campbell is the best thing to happen for us this year.

No doubt, he looks like everything you look for in a QB (so far). I'm almost afraid to say anything for fear of Jinxin' him!

Agree with what's been said. I'm still optimistic about Rocky--I don't buy that he can't play, that the coaches don't like him, etc. I think it's still this old school vet-over-rookie stuff there. If he can play ball, we've got decent bookend LBs.

Rocky seems to do a good job on teams

At least that's what GW continues to say, but the thing of it is "we didn't draft him to play ST". If he can't play in their base defense after ten games into the season, then it would apear that's another judgement error on the talent evaluators of this team.

Re: Reasons to be positive?

Campbell is the only reason I didn't feel so bad about the loss yesterday.

The defense is shot right now, I see no hope at all for them this year so I'm done with being upset about them. They suck, end of story.

Campbell is the only reason to keep watching.

I think all Redskins fans should reach this level that were on very soon Matty. The D isnt even there. They have lawnchairs set up on the 50 and are kicking back chillin....we need to pick a lot of quality depth at key d-line/o-line positions. I agree with JWsleep that Rocky can probably play but the vet over rook shit is endless. Next year baby...Campbell gonna bring down the house....end of story....

Also my thoughts exactly. I was actually somewhat excited after the game, even though we lost. And the only reason for that is Campbell looked pretty promising.

Re: Reasons to be positive?

Similar to Gibbs, I'm SO SICK of this egotistic bullshit from GW. The MAJORITY of other teams have their rookies come right in and take their lumps with the rest of them. Is he worried about their "fragile psyche"? I mean shit, if you get your feelings hurt, there's always dancing with the stars. They're FOOTBALL PLAYERS, if they come out and truly suck ass, THEN start to worry.

isnt this the same coach, when sean taylor was a rookie, that said he put him into positions to fail(get burnt)?

Re: Reasons to be positive?

Yesterday was the first time I was optomistic after a loss this season. Jason looked like a stud out there, as if he had been out there for a while. Im excited because the future is now, thats the biggest plus
