Well we've been eating genetically enhanced fruits and vegetables for year so you have to up the anti and go for the holly grail. Cow Pie baby!

Seriously though, what would Jesus think/say?

I read about this earlier today. Apparently they're going to have to start labeling meat as "Clone-free".

Re: US to sell cloned food at supermarkets

I don't see the problem at all. I'm not religious, so that might have something to do with it.

I don't mind the concepts of hunting for sport legally, the wearing of fur legally, or animals being born into captivity in cattle or poultry farms in order to provide food for us human types. I don't see why this cloning thing would be any different.

I see no moral problem. In fact, I look forward to a leaner, juicier steak. Who knows, if they can clone some really fine specimens, we might have leaner meats becoming more abundant, which would make buying the finest and healthiest meats cheaper for us all.

If you're for stem cell research, I don't see how you can be opposed to this. If it bothers you and you can't put your finger on it, you might simply be creeped out by our scientific capabilities. It's scary what us humans can do, when you think about it. But if you look past that eerie feeling, you probably realize there's no reason to be bothered by it. Don't be afraid of scientific progress.

Re: US to sell cloned food at supermarkets

I'm not sure what the argument against this would be?

Me either, as long as it tastes just as good and doesn't cause my offspring to be born with 3 arms.
