A Signing Already?!
TSN : CFL - Canada's Sports Leader
"The BC Lions have lost one of the cornerstones of the defense that led them to the Grey Cup title. Defensive End Chris Wilson has signed a 3-year deal with the Washington Redskins of the NFL. Wilson has started every game in his 2 years with the Lions recording 70 tackles and 8 sacks." That was quick.

Re: A Signing Already?!
Cool, I like the agressive posture! Maybe some of that could rub off on field play

TMC - hopefully this guy can come in and contribute - it would be nice to get a DE that I would assume does not cost to much and get some decent production from for a change.

2 years he played....8 sacks. Yep, pass rushing problem solved! I heard we threw in a 5th round pick to the Canadians too.

Re: A Signing Already?!
Kinda small 240LB. I guess we could use him at middle LB if things don't work out at DE. I think it couldn't hurt.

Re: A Signing Already?!
Atleast we are getting down to business as other teams are deciding what to do with their coaches. Sends out a good message.

Re: A Signing Already?!
This is phase 3 of Snyder's winning strategy.
Phase 1. Sign overpriced, aging, free agents at non-critical positions while letting younger studs leave. Phase 1 completed. Phase 2. Sign several overpaid, egotistical, coaches to improve coach-to-player communication. Phase 2 completed. Phase 3. Sign CFL players for areas of critical need (e.g., DE). Phase 3 in progress. |
