I knew he was found dead, but at the bottom of a cliff? WTF? Did he jump? Was it an accident? He must have been alone, otherwise he wouldn't have been found by a passerby -- unless it was murder. Very strange.
I hate when people die. Sad.

A side note: could you imagine discovering a dead body? God. That would be absolutely terrible. I have been in times of desperate measures -- life and death -- and I consider myself to be courageous (not tough, but courageous). However, I would probably be quite shaken if I ever discovered a dead person.
