Are the 49ers the new Redskins!

The 49ers just sign WR Ashley Lelie to a two-year deal and now targeting Stallworth. Is it me or the 49ers looking pretty good this offseason. I believe they will be very good in 2007 with the acquisitons that they making in free agency especially if they sign Stallworth. They still have the draft to improve.

They are not the Redskins they are happy with 5-11 seasons.

Since you like to rain on the parade, what do you have to say about Smoot taking less money to come back?

I guess you have to like it since you criticized the front office for letting him go in the first place.

His agent confirmed it. Trust me if Clements can get 80 million, Smoot could have demanded about half that.

Why do you think that Springs is considering giving money back to hit the market? He knows he will get paid...

Oh really? So Smoot could have accepted a $40 million dollar signing bonus, but took our $2 million instead?

Agents always tout things like this. Don't believe anything they say.

This is the problem with this site, everyone is out to get everyone else. People like this are soft chickenshit faggots. Their more worried about covering their own asses and tearing people down than talk about what is really important, the Redskins. This is not just for the regular posters either, the mods are this way too.

Sorry you feel that way, but language like that is not appreciated around here.

There are other sites out there for you to try out, please feel free.

I'll admit that them signing Clements will help them. And if they land Stallworth that is all the better for Alex Smith, but don't fool yourself with Lelie...

Re: Are the 49ers the new Redskins!

it you paid attention i said i was very happy that we sign smoot. its a damn shame that we let him go in the first place. Should have kept him and drafted merriaman damn we would be so much better if we did that. Well last i saw they have won 5 superbowls and we have won three. So i guess we should be happy at 5-11. Seems like you are. Im tired of losing, and only having two playoff wins since 92 not enough for me maybe it is for you.

or we could have signed andre dyson for the same price as carlos rogers and saved 20+mill over signing smoot and still had that pick. It's great that your hindsight is sooo perfect, but it's not going to fix things.

ouch ok got ur point but its not like the skins just let him walk away he just left for the money and look where that got him but i say he has a 4 interception season with us this year at least he was always in the 3 to 5 range with us so that is what i am excepting and he didnt forget how to cover he just wasnt a good fit for the tampa 2 the vikings are trying to run just like if we were to sign joey porter he wouldnt fit or a. thomas just wait fred smoot will bounce back and london flecther is a solid force at middle linebacker probably the most underrated player at his position remind you of someone (chris cooley) and fletch will continue to put up pro bowl type numbers on the skins while "quarterbacking" greg williams defense love the 2 signings by the skins just hope for leonard davis who said it is between the skins and the cowboys and maybe donte stallworth i like him and moss and even randle el strecthing defenses with their spped so lloyd, cooley, and even portis can get open over the middle

remember speed cant be coached you either have it or you dont

Sorry you thinks its raining on the parade when you tell the truth about how sorry we are as of today. I guess i hate seeing my team in last place again and only winning one division game again. Its kinda sucks, guess it doesnt for you.
