Transformers Trailer
When I first heard about the movie, I thought it would be totally lame. After watching this trailer, however, I think it could actually be entertaining. It would certainly bring back a lot of childhood memories.
BTW, I know that this was discussed several months ago. But, given the new trailers, I thought that it is worth reviving. |

Re: Transformers Trailer
Wow. It's very rare you see a novelty from the past come back like this. This actually looks like it may be the real deal.
Good shit.

Re: Transformers Trailer
Spielberg and Bay working together is something I never expected to see. But the trailer definately looks interesting/promising.

Re: Transformers Trailer
I know this is random as shit, but I didn't think it merited starting a new thread...
I just saw Leo the Enforcer yesterday. What an awesome movie. I had never heard of it before, but really recommend it to anyone that likes dark comedy-ish movies. I thought it was amazing. Yeah, random I know, but if your looking for a movie to rent tonight, go see it.

Re: Transformers Trailer
Looks like a cross between "Independence Day" and "Wild, Wild West".
No thanks. |

I'm not looking for a deep symbolic artistic movie here. A bunch of transforming machines fighting is a bunch of transforming machines fighting, you either hate it or love it.... Personally, I enjoyed independence day, I was entertained, and I'm hoping Transformers will give me something. Maybe Spielberg can pull this out of his ass (although the fact that Bay is doing it kind of makes me skeptical). Regardless, I'm going to see it in theaters.

Re: Transformers Trailer
Independence Day was not an alright movie, which is a big compliment for a Michael Bay Film. Wild, Wild West was simply awful. I'm hoping Spielberg makes the film a little better than your typical Michael Bay film. I just can't see Spielberg attaching his name to an awful movie.

Re: Transformers Trailer
It's crazy that the first one is set in the year 2005. I mean back then it was like "Oooh 2005! That's so far in the future, wow!" Now it's like wait a minute, 2005? Did I miss something the last two years
I'm really excited about this movie, if for no other reason than Megan Fox! She makes my optimus prime

Re: Transformers Trailer
If it wasn't for Spielberg being on board I would be totally incredulous about this one. Still, Michael Bay really worries me. The only film of his I have liked was the Rock. That was cool. Other than that, one could make a strong argument for him as the worst director of his generation.
But if this is a success, there will be good things in our future. Remember when X-Men hit, and suddenly every superhero was getting his own movie? (alot of stinkers, but Spiderman has become one of the great blockbuster franchises). Well, if transformers is a success get ready for Thundercats in 2009, the GI Joe trilogy starting in 2010, and a darker version of He-Man directed by David Fincher. How great would that be? |
