trade with pats
we should trade springs and uor 6 pick to the pats for samuel and their 24 pick and their 3 round pick.this trade makes more sense than the briggs trade does, cause we sucked at the db area last year with very few picks.with the 24 pick get brandon meriweather, then trade the 3 round and next years 3 rounder for a 2 round pick this year and take charles johnson.

Re: trade with pats
Aside from the D-Line problems still not being addressed, oh and the huge amount of cap killing dollars that Asante would cost.
I'd make that trade in Madden though. |

Re: trade with pats
boy I can't wait unitl the season starts. we have talked about all these trade scenarios way TOO much..
NO TO SAMUEL - makes no sense. Rogers, springs, smoot, Macklin are good corners. No need to bring in another starter. How about adding some quality depth if you want to bring someone else in. If we bring in another starter its going to cause tension. we need to have someone that knows their role. We have 4 starters as it is. |

you must have fallen and hit you head if you think asante samuel is a good fit here with the defensive system gw runs...sure samuel is an interception machine but he isnt big enough nor physical enough to play corner in a greg williams defense.

Samuel might be an overrated player because of his liability against the run, assuming he does in fact present a liability against the run. He will be no worse off here than he was in NE though, so if you thought he was a good player in NE, then you also think he will be a good player here. Grilliams likes bigger corners, as he darn well should, because they tend to be undervalued. But that shouldn't take away from the fact that Samuel is an outstanding player that any team would be lucky to have.

I agree with you 56. I would think we're going to go with what we have at the CB position despite the fact we could stand to upgrade. I don't think it likely we will trade any existing players, and Springs will be a Redskin despite his contract. Samuel will cost more than Springs.
