Sopranos Finale (Spoiler)
How lame was that? I think the show has sucked for this season, remember this is only the 2nd half of season 6, the first half started a long ass time ago. The Sopranos used to be such a killer show and now that its gone I won't miss it because it has sucked for a long time now. What a crappy way to end.
p.s. the best part was Phil Leatardo dying |

Re: Sopranos Finale (Spoiler)
TRASH??? Are you kidding? The last two seasons left a little to be desired, but overall it was one of the best and most successful cable tv shows ever. I loved it, but it the series finale was a dissapointment. But not trash, IMO. Man though, seeing Phil die was great. F that guy.

Re: Sopranos Finale (Spoiler)
first two and a half seasons were great... then it became one of the worst shows ever, especially with the ending they had tonight.

Re: Sopranos Finale (Spoiler)
I think Chase used this ending to knowingly mess with the show's fans. I don't know why, but he'd rather leave it up to interpretation. I say the "never see it coming" ending is inferred, but who knows?
I think this finale guarantees "The Wire" will be considered the greater drama of the two, after all is said and done (if it isn't already). |

I'm mad because I have to admit to my friend that he was right. I told him that the Sopranos' legacy as far as being compared to The Wire depended on the finale. The feeling I had after staying up to watch the show last night, my heart is racing when Tony is in the diner wondering what was going to happen. So many suspicions, wondering what was going to happen next. And then it just goes blank, I held my breath until the credits were over because I thought it would come back and then something kick ass was going to happen. I thought that being a dillegent viewer that I would be rewarded with Tony getting shot in a flash when the credits ended or something, not saying that I wanted him to die. When it was over at 1:00 in the freaking morning I said to myself, "Are you fucking kidding me?" The Wire all day for me now !

Re: Sopranos Finale (Spoiler)
I jacked this from a Sopranos forum:
"Another observation: As Tony is flipping through the jukebox choices, the Journey tab has "Don't Stop Believing" as the "A" side and "Any Way You Want It" as the "B" side. The latter was most definitely not the "B" side of the former as it was recorded about 5-7 years earlier. Now obviously they can stack those tunes on a jukebox in any fashion, but unless someone here can conclusively tell me this is standard A Side/B Side, I think the B side tells us exactly how Chase wants us to view the end end of the "Journey." Any way you want it." - St. Stephen |

What a brilliant ending. So perfect. I guarantee we will still be talking about this show in 30 years.

Re: Sopranos Finale (Spoiler)
Remember when Tony and Bobby were in the boat talking about getting whacked? Tony said that you don't hear anything, you just fade to black. Well, Tony faded to black. I guess the Members Only jacket guy came out blasting.

My final thought is this. Anyone looking to clues within the scene to figure out what happened is completely missing the point of the ending. The point is that those questions aren't answered, and aren't going to be answered. That's why we will still be talking about this show 20 years from now. |

Re: Sopranos Finale (Spoiler)
it was a brilliant ending that went over most people's heads. EVERY person in the diner had been in previous episodes of the show...make the connections.
