Cartwright or Blaylock
I know I will get some hashes for posting a topic 3rd String, but I started thinking about this. RC stated last year that he's a team player and won't be disgruntled by getting bumped. However if Blaylock happens to move into the 3rd RB position will Rock stay around? Do you think he would stay on the team to play special teams? I though he did a pretty good job KR last year, but that we mean he has slide pretty much as far down the ladder as you can.

Re: Cartwright or Blaylock
Honestly, I'd like to keep both. I'd keep Cartwright running back kicks and Blaylock third on the depth chart at RB.

Re: Cartwright or Blaylock
I'll agree with that, keep them both if doable.

Re: Cartwright or Blaylock
cartwright is a good return man/ special teams player. i think thet alone keeps him on the team. besides, how many carries does the 3rd back get? he probably makes less then blaylock, too

TOTALLY, not only does the ROCK have the heart of a lion, he has become a bonafide return man. he has to stay. The Rock is "a Redskin"

Re: Cartwright or Blaylock
I think the Skins HAVE to keep them both. With Portis coming down with the tendonitis in his knee and Betts always seems to miss time, I think this team needs to be as deep as possible at running back this year. I think the team can count on Portis and Betts, but you also have to be prepared for injuries. Rock did well returning kicks last season and they carried 4 for most of the time last season. 4 RB's is probably the way to go in this case

Re: Cartwright or Blaylock
We can keep them both the only problem is one of them would likely have to be inactive on gameday.

Re: Cartwright or Blaylock
I am on record as saying that I don't think Portis will make it through the season.... which bumps Ladell up to number 1. We need both of them to back up Ladell.

I'm concerned about Portis's apparently ongoing medical issues as well, but predicting a season ending injury is a little much. |

You are crazy if you think Portis will have an early exit.

That makes you dumb. The first season he misses significant time and everyone wants to put in Ladell Betts who had his first season where he didnt miss time due to injury. No way in hell ports goes down.

Re: Cartwright or Blaylock
lol... if I am dumb, then you are simply ignorant. I have said in earlier posts that he has been run alot more than most backs his age. All of that abuse is starting to take a toll on his body. He already has tendonitis and that is an indication of future nagging issues.

Ok he has tendonitis. If you paid attentio you would know that Cartwright has this same injury. ONce again Betts has had more injuries then Portis. Portis will be fine. He's only 25. He will be fine.
