Overall Thoughts on the game.
O.K, we now know that throwing interceptions is as easy on the game, as it was for Patrick Ramsey, but overall how do you think it stacks up against previous years? Also, what system do you have, and T.V. I'm on a 360 with a 52" Toshiba Plasma. Man, the graphics for the game is sick!!!

Re: Overall Thoughts on the game.
im playin a 360 on a 42" vizio and love the graphics... and the gameplay is very smooth. Believe it or not, I was disappointed that they didn't bring back any John Madden commentary, I'm not happy with the fact that Santana cant break away on a streak when he gets pressed in single coverage,
It seems like when I started playing NCAA I had a little trouble with picks, but got over it quickly, but I can't shake the turnoverbug... Flipside: The Defensive play is awesome.... I only play with the skins, so its all I have to look at, but our linebackers are awesome, and the pass-rush on the line is a little more realistic... you can get a nice jump and knife through on the end with carter from time to time... McIntosh is rated low, but has great speed and can cover TEs and Backs well... I am disappointed with the playbooks, too. I figured Al Saunder's offense would have a few gadget plays and be a little more wide open than what I've got... I would have liked more than 2 shotgun formations and a few sweeps out of the gun... a few reverses etc... other than that I like it..

Re: Overall Thoughts on the game.
Love the game so far, I've only had time to play 2 games but I've got today off so I'm hoping to get in a bunch today.
By far the best Madden in a very long time. I don't have any major complaints so far, my only gripe is why did it take EA so long to give us a game of this quality!!?? |

Re: Overall Thoughts on the game.
canthetuna: Couldn't agree more about the playbook. WTF? How can we not have a single reverse? And no Gadget plays with Randle El?
Otherwise, the game actually made strides graphically which I did not expect, I have a 42" Aquos HD LCD and it looks great on component cables from the 360. I played against my neighbor who is a cowboys fan and was surprised how well they captured Romo, Owens, etc. Our guys are all recognizable or better. I didn't notice the fumble bug that people are complaining about, our game had maybe 2. I did notice an increase in injuries (or maybe it's just Taylor and Landry ) I also noticed picks were really easy to come by, I had 6 (4 user picks). But then again my neighbor is a cowboys fan, he doesn't know shit about football. Final Score: 42-3 lol. I didn't like the receiver's mini game. Just seems different. I feel like I need to brush up on the controls. Anyone know how to disguise what play you're choosing in VS mode?

Re: Overall Thoughts on the game.
I hear you, BB, alot of my friends think I have on one up on them (if you will), but I tell them if you read your guide you'll know exactly what I know, but yea it be easier now, when you do head to head, at first me and my friend was doing the honest rule, put our head down for 5 seconds and pick our plays, then I read the book and was like dang, i could save us some neck pains..... lol, so now were rolling

Has anyone played it for PS2? I'm thinking of picking it up tonight.

Re: Overall Thoughts on the game.
The game is defintely the best one ever. I think EA decided to step it up since All Pro Football 2k8 was doing better than everyone thought it would.

Re: Overall Thoughts on the game.
Ok I like the game but for you 360 owners could the achievements be any easier? Seriously they need to beef those up!

Re: Overall Thoughts on the game.
I've heard rumors that the game sucks for XBOX to encourage users to buy a 360. Anyone own it for regular XBOX? I'd just like to hear some input before I go out and get it.

Re: Overall Thoughts on the game.
The game has a very epic feel. It is like lord of the rings crossed with football. I always feel like I am on some kinda crazy mission when I play a game.

Re: Overall Thoughts on the game.
Thanks Quake,
I went ahead and rented it today, and I am really disappointed. I have yet to see any differences that are worth 40+ dollars. It seems like an updated roster and that's it. Time for me to suck it up and buy a 360... On an very unrelated note, I just bought the new Talib Kweli and it's pretty awesome. I was afraid he would lose his underground feel, and that's totally not the case.
