Re: Doug Gabriel
Yeah that's true, he could be an asset in the red zone because of his height. He would be our fourth or possible 3rd receiver at best, so we don't need to give him a big deal.

Re: Doug Gabriel
Well I mentioned Gabriel a couple of days ago as a good option for the Redskins to go after. It's been pointed out, however, that his attitude isn't all that desirable. Could be a product of playing in Oakland, but then again he also played in New England and I think they released him mid-season.
Regardless of attitude though, I'd like to bring him in. He's a better choice for our 5th receiver spot than someone like Burl "Ives" Toler I would imagine. Unless Toler's been some kind of beast on special teams. Anyhow, this is all just speculation at this point.

Re: Doug Gabriel
Not to break your balls, but couldn't any WR we cut?

It was a little bit of a joke. Obviously not very effective. My position is this: If we only have 4 receivers worth keeping, that's all we should keep. Cooley is half wide-receiver anyway. And, we may be able to pick up a fifth once the axe falls on September 1.

I think he's better than Bradford at least, and given some time to get comfortbable would likely become our No. 2 WR. |

Re: Doug Gabriel
Allow myself to quote...myself. He did a nice job of getting his feet down.

Re: Doug Gabriel
He won't be...Del Rio said he dropped him on the charts to motivate him, he will likely be the #2 in Jacksonville.

Re: Doug Gabriel
Stats wise, there isn't a significant difference between the two. Regardless, RW is moving back up the depth chart in Jacksonville. I doubt he's going anywhere.
