Tiki at it again
Tiki blames Coughlin for his retirement and has a book coming out
Barber blames Coughlin for retirement - NFL - Yahoo! Sports Isnt he suspose to be unbias now that hes a reporter. I think that this is pretty funny and gonna cause some additional disruption for the Giants, but at the same time I have lost any respect for Tiki I had previsouly, who does this right before the season starts? |

That came out in Tiki's book that is getting released. Tiki also went public with problems with Coughlin during the season last year. He was their # 1 running back, but since Coughlin didn't get fired he quit.

Tiki was planning to retire all season. He announced it way before he knew Coughlin was going to keep his job.

Re: Tiki at it agian
The way it is being reported is wrong. Tiki said that Coughlin made him lose his love for the game not that he would have come back had Coughlin gotten fired. The point is that he stopped loving football playing under Coughlin. Once you lose that fire it wouldn't have mattered if a new coach came in or not. Obviously it is not nearly on the same level, but I kind of understand as I had a similar experience playing college football. I had a bad coach, a program that was not committed to winning, and playing football just was not the same for me. Football was my life and then I got in a situation where it just was not fun anymore and I ended up transferring and giving up football. I'm biased as I'm a Tiki fan from back in the UVa days, but I understand what he's saying and I think the reporting of his comments doesn't quite capture the meaning.

Re: Tiki at it agian
I just finishing read this on ESPN. You know, he's making it easy for people to take shots at him over this whole thing. The more he talks, it's becoming more obvious that he's so caught up into "Tiki." The real bottom line is, his ego and Coughlin's style of coaching couldn't co-exist in the same locker room.
He seems like the type of player that was big on stats, but poor on leadership. The Giants may miss his touchdowns, but they won't miss his bitching. And if the Giants think we've heard the last of Strahan crying like a bitch, just wait and see. |

Re: Tiki at it agian
Yeah the Giants have some serious personal problems, and not with people getting arrested, but with people bitching and complaining. Who does that as an adult.
I really hope Tiki doesnt pan out as a reporter, I really have no respect for him |

I mean, if he's so done with football and the Giants, why is he still bringing the past. Who didn't do what, blah, blah, blah.

Re: Tiki at it agian
TC seems like a real ass of a coach. I mean it's the NFL and he treats the players like it's HS football. Can't wear hats in meetings. He fines players for being early to meetings. That crap only goes so far before the players turn on you.
Tiki's constant bitching makes him look like one bitter dude. But I like some of it cause I hate TC so much. Has anyone ever seen TC smile? What an uptight jerk off. |

Tiki is trying to sell a book and you have to spill the beans to get people to buy your book. 1+1 = $$

Re: Tiki at it agian
Just heard Tony K. on PTI; he made a good point - Coughlin corrected Tiki's fumbling problem.
I like Tiki, but if I were Coughlin I'd have something to say about this to the press, his players will likely tink more of him if he does. |

Re: Tiki at it agian
TiVi Barber needs to be first on the list of people who need to "Just SHUT UP!!" I will say that I don't mind the turmoil going on with each of our division rivals. Reid dealing with his sons' troubles is sad and I only wish them the best, but the fact that the coach of the defending division champs is distracted doesn't bother me. Plus the whole uproar about Trotter getting cut. The Giants have the Strahan/TiVi/Coughlin/Manning fiasco going on, and Cowgirls have QB coaches on roids. None of that kind of crap going on with our team.
