Angry Mark"stinky"Schlerth needs to be jolly stomped

he said the skins would finish last in the nfc east this year cause they had "made no real changes on Defense."he went on to kiss the asses of wade phillips and donovan mcnab, and said the poke and eagles would be super bowl contenders.i can't friggin' believe this prick was ever a redskin.let's start a petition to get his name removed from the roster of past redskins!!!!i wish i knew where the asshole live so i could go take a dump on his GD doorstep!

He was a great "hog" back in the day, but he should stick to his soap opera gig and leave ESPN behind. I hate that he is an "expert." He'd sound a little more intelligent if he didn't preface every comment with, "there's no question.."

Oh, what the hell does jolly stomped mean?

So because he's not a homer like everyone else on ESPN, he doesn't know what he's talking about? A lot of people are saying the Skins will do well, some people aren't. Right now, predictions don't matter. I'm so sick of the feeling on this board that the Skins don't get respect. What is there to respect? 5-11 or one playoff appearance since 2000?

But it's fun to get offended and call people out!

Actually, Schlereth is an incredible homer. The only thing is, his most recent "home" was in Denver. He occasionally says nice things about the Skins, but the man bleeds Broncos. I'll bet his breath smells a little Shanahan-y, if you get my drift.

True that. This guy has Shanahans' jock all kinds of balls deep.

Yeah that guy totally ripped his old coach and team. Screw him. He never has any love for us. Must be some old rift with the team when he left. Our D is much improved over last year. As far as bringing no players on D, He's an idiot and has not watched a down of Redskins Football in the Preseason.

He did? when?
I've never heard Sclereth say anything bad about his days w/the skins, he always sounds positive w/the memories. I've also heard him speak well of the current skins in spite of our failings. e.g., He predicted the 04 skins would go 9-7.

I chalk these comments up to him not doing his homework if in fact he said what he did about the d, but overall I can't blame anyone for going w/the pokes & iggles over us at this point. If he picked the g men, he really is out on a limb.

It's really time for some football!

Re: Mark"stinky"Schlerth needs to be jolly stomped

I don't get the fascination with the Eagles. They are yesterday's news. I can understand making a case for Dallas, but Philly is so obviously on the brink of a total collapse that it boggles the mind to see them ranked so highly.

Jim Johnson is a great defensive mind, but everyone has their limits. They will give up big yards this year. Reid is pre-occupied and embarrassed and McNabb will continue to have a completion percentage in the 50s. I can't wait for the Pam Oliver interview though.

As for Stink, he considers himself a Bronco. Good for him. He is dead to me. He has apparently taken Salisbury as his mentor and the results are predictable: hideously bad television. The Nascar coverage rules, though.

dont get the fascination of the Eagles? yesterdays news? are you watching football?? 4 straight NFC championships, 1 superbowl appearance, they have key people go down(McNabb, westbrook, TO(in the superbowl year) kerse, trotter and yet they still go deep in the playoffs.

Jim Johnson consistantly has a top notch D that forces turnovers and gets points off of those turnovers. McNabb prior to being hurt last season and previous was having pretty damn good years and has multiple pro bowls under his belt.

As far as who he considers himself to be, so what! he was a Bronco last, played there longer(i think) won a couple of bowls there i believe, so why not. do you think Champ would want to be remembered as a Skin or Bronco?

I agree. So what. Like I said, he's dead to me.

As for the Eagles, I sincerely believe they are at the end of the line. Good coaches can stitch to gether a few wins with inferior players for a while, but not forever. As for McNabb, the fact that Jeff Garcia was able to perform better than him in the offense last year is indicative of how average he actually is. All the talk was of his brilliant resurgence and yet his completion percentage was 54% - the same as Campbell's. Also, Trotter going down any time in the last four years would be the best thing that could happen to a defense. He was a liability for them 75% of the time.

They've had multiple opportunities to win the big games and they always fail because they aren't good enough. McNabb isn't good enough. When they crash, they will crash in a big way and I say it's this year.
