Misery Loves Company
You think you're pissed about the Skins, what about the San Diego Charger fans?
Yep, I started a thread to talk about another team just to make me feel better about my Monday morning blues. Re: Misery Loves Company
I can only chuckle at the people calling for us to bring Norv back.
How hard is it to manage a team stocked with that kind of defensive talent, and oh, by the way, a slam-dunk HOF running back who may have a legit claim for being the best RB ever before he's finished. Gosh, if only they had someone who could catch the football there, or a QB...

Re: Misery Loves Company
If Norv Turner ruins this Chargers team, he should leave football forever. One word to sum up Norv? Loser. I'm sure he's a good man and all, but football-wise as the head coach? Loser. Three weeks in and the Chargers have already matched their loss total from all of last year? He and AJ Smith both suck.

Re: Misery Loves Company
But when you think about, SD don't have any wideouts. They're okay, but nothing special.
Did you guys catch LT and Rivers getting into it on the sideline? I think they made up later, but LT was pissed. |

Re: Misery Loves Company
Last night, I drove to the Coronado bridge. I was going to jump off of it and end the misery.
Unfortunately there was a line of people wearing Merriman jerseys waiting their turn so I went back home Man it's ugly down here. THe chargers have been exposed. The Padres are choking down the stretch. All the fairweather fans are already moving on to new teams( alot of cowboy jerseys popping up). SD has never been a big sports town. It's all about nightlife, Shopping and beaches. |

Re: Misery Loves Company
He's (Norv) not doing that team any favors, but they still aren't a bad team. IMO, he didn't do the Niners any favors last year and they still won about half their games.
Let the season play out. We would have been crazy to think that the Chargers would have gone 14-2 again no matter who the coach was, and road losses to New England and Green Bay are nothing to spit on. To win the division again, they will have to play well against Denver, and I think they can still exceed reasonable expectation if they can sweep the Broncos. Coughlin, Del Rio, and Fox all hurt their teams more than Norv does, so if anything Norv is more unremarkable than a cancer. |

Re: Misery Loves Company
I don't think Norv is a "cancer" but he is definitely not a winner. Whatever makes someone a successful person in their endeavours, Norv does not have that thing, bottom line.

Re: Misery Loves Company
the current fall of the charges is shocking...i mean at least Marty got them to the playoffs- we'll see is Norv can turn it around.
