Re: Nfl Defense Rankings

That is a breath of fresh air. It's great to see the D getting back to form and the running game being complimented by the pass. It's been great to watch this team this year, short of one horrendous half, they've been a very good team and they get better each week. I love watching them and they look like an elite team in the weak NFC.

Just a shame the Boys are playing so well, but I want the Skins to make Romo play the way he did last night! That would be amazing, I told my buddy (Boys fan) that if Romo plays like that against a team who isn't one of the 3 worst in the league they'll get destroyed.

Oh hell yeah...if Romo had turned the ball over six times against the Skins, we would've hung 40+ on the Cowpukes!

A stat sure to discomfit the haters. Can't really talk your way out of that one.

Re: Nfl Defense Rankings

yeah I noticed that. I saw it on Monday on NFL.Com.

I'm very excited, but at the same time guarded. The Defensive showing against the lions was amazing, but our offense was playing against a pitiful defense on a team who can't win on the road.

Green Bay's offense is smarter than Detroits. They will use more people in protection and Favre will make better reads. He's been playing Lights-Out so far. AND Green Bay has a pretty tough swarming defense themselves. Playing them at home will be the toughest game we'll have to play so far this year. Our guys can handily win this game, but they have to give 100% effort just like they did at home. I hate the way teams that have dominant performances when they're not exactly used to it, sit around and pat themselves on the back and don't properly execute the next week.

I think the preparation and execution next week will be the biggest litmus test of how the future of the Redskins looks at present.

I kept hearing over and over that the Redskins were facing the league's top passing offense coming into the week. I don't know it it was true, but the Lions have NO run game.

The Packers are very similar. Great passing, no run game. They have been throwing random RBs who are all hurt into the mix every week. The only thing their offense has over Detriot's is Brett Favre.

We should be able to limit Favre, not shut him down, but I think our D will do well enough to get us the win.

Re: Nfl Defense Rankings

That is a nice ranking after four games. I'm hopeful they can stay in the top 5 or at least top 10 once they start playing offenses that are ranked higher than 13-19, and are more than a one dimensional team.

Re: Nfl Defense Rankings

We've had a bye week as well. Most teams have not. That effects total yards. That barometer is a little more accurate as the season progresses.

I agree with everyone that feels that Green Bay in Lambeau is going to be a challenge. I think about Green Bay atleast once an hour. They are similar on offense to Detroit in that they are pass happy because they cant run. But their Left tackle cant be worse than Detroit's.

I saw alot of play action in their game against Chicago. will they try that against us? and will it work....

It goes by average yards, not total.

Total is factored in it averages by how many games you have played Redskins total yards given up is divided by 4 and everyone else by 5.
