I Was Wrong When...
I said it was a mistake to sign London Fletcher
I said Brandon Lloyd would have about 600 yards receiving last year and be our big play WR I said Kenny Wright was a smart pickup by the Redskins to play Nickel ("Like having another starter!") I said Amobi Okoye was overrated I said the Bucs would start this season 0-6 And so on. Point is, I've been "right" (Marcus Washington, Randle El, Andre Carter) and I've been wrong countless times on this site. Just about all of us have. There isn't a single person on this site who has posted with relative regularity and can claim to have never been wrong. So why the point of this thread? To point out that there's no shame in admitting you're wrong and to dispel any ridiculous notion that I or anyone else here just scours threads looking to point out when anyone else is wrong. Fact is, I (and every other mod) read 99% of all posts on this site. We have been for years, we have to. It's our responsibility. We notice patterns but none of us go looking to find things that are wrong. But since there are some (one) people here who think (incorrectly) that my only purpose here is to point out when everyone else is wrong, I thought I'd start a thread pointing out a few times when I've been wrong. Guess what? I will be wrong again...and so will you.

Re: I Was Wrong When...
...I said Carlos Rogers sucked and would never amount to anything. I can't remember actually saying it, but I remember thinking it a lot.

Re: I Was Wrong When...
I am completely surprised by Randle El so far. I thought he would be good for 30-40 catches tops, and it seems he's on pace for at least twice that. I was wrong and I'm happy to admit it!

It was wrong for you to say that.

Re: I Was Wrong When...
Also, I thought we were going to thump the Giants and at halftime I was feeling pretty good about that prediction.
In a drunken stupor the night before that game I remember telling my wife I was confident the Skins were going to start the season 6-0. |

Re: I Was Wrong When...
I hope I was wrong when I argued that Gibbs needed to stop coaching midway through last season because he seemed too lack a killer instinct and the passion he used to have.
So far, I was wrong to think that we didn't have enough pass rushing ability to win more than a couple of games. I really wanted us to draft Okoye (who I still like) instead of LaRon (who I couldn't be happier with), but so far I'm happy with the results. I was wrong for thinking that Brandon Lloyd would actually be decent this season. And finally, I was also wrong when I pooped in a bag and hid it in my office.

Re: I Was Wrong When...
I was wrong about Matt Schaub, although that could change in the long run.
I was wrong in thinking Brandon Lloyd would be a contributor. I was wrong about Gregg Williams ability to adjust his scheme. |

Re: I Was Wrong When...
I was wrong calling Laron Landry a bad pick.
I was wrong wanting to keep Mark Brunell in for so long. I was wrong for harking on the execution, and exonerating the play calling. I will be wrong for predicting the Redskins to go 8-8 this season. I was wrong for drinking and starting this thread http://www.redskinswarpath.com/parki...hing-ever.html It really was not the greatest thing, ever.

Re: I Was Wrong When...
I remember thinking Kenny Wright was gonna be a good pick up as well...I still think it was a smart pick up...he just didn't play up to what we wanted
