Is Jason Campbell Accountable for this Loss?
I don't think JC ought to get a free pass, no matter how poorly the offense played in the first half.
He's had the opportunity to win us the last two games, and wasn't up to it. The same dumb throw 3 times in the last two games. |

He is solely responsible for this loss!! and pretty much responsible for the Dallas loss.

Not sure how you can say solely when there were 4 other turnovers that weren't his fault.

Moss, Portis, Campbell. Campbell is young and learning the hard way. 2 weeks in a row and 2 critical drives in a row. I still believe in him and this will make him a better QB because of it. Not having Sellers today kind of hurt on the 4th try were Portis was shut down.

He is responsible for 1 fumble and two picks.
Portis is responsible for 2 fumbles. And Moss for one.

Re: Is Jason Campbell Accountable for this Loss?
A free pass? No. I just feel like with a young QB you have to expect picks. It's going to happen. I feel Portis and Moss are much more at fault for this game than Campbell. If we'd stop putting him in this position it wouldn't be that bad.

you said it very well! Maybe if we would of had more confidence in JC early on then he would made his mistakes then and been ready for this adversity!

Re: Is Jason Campbell Accountable for this Loss?
with that said i'll add that I firmly believe that Jason Will be a great QB in the NFL...He is still growin up as it were....he needs time to mature a bit more ,like wine, he'll get better with age. All young quarterbacks have a certain amount of these type of mistakes..the future isn't right now, although i'd like it to be.

Re: Is Jason Campbell Accountable for this Loss?
Maybe this has been brought up before in this thread but you have to start to wonder, is this how JC's career is going to play out? He makes it all the way down the field just to throw the interception. If this continues you have to start thinking its nerves and that he has a serious issue playing under pressure like that. Who knows though maybe it's a little early to call.

Re: Is Jason Campbell Accountable for this Loss?
I havenīt been able to see much here in Mexico the last few weeks, but I was able to catch the end of the game while waiting for some fillings at the dentistīs office.
The only thing I ask from JC is LEARN TO PUT SOME AIR UNDER SOME OF YOUR PASSES. Iīve been asking for this for quite a while now. His last pass would not have been dangerous if he had put air under it in the corner of the endzone. Moss had position on the defender. The announcers here were saying they were able to intercept the pass only because he put it on a rope. When the receivers have position Iīd love to see him put some air under it so they can adapt to the throw. I think if he learns this he can become a very good QB. Iīm just mystified why he hasnīt learned this since this has been his major fault for many games now. |

Re: Is Jason Campbell Accountable for this Loss?
I'd still rather see him out there making mistakes, he needs to learn.
And no, I don't put the loss on him. I put a horrendous first half that spotted TB 19 points, a terrible call on 4th on short and some bad passes by Campbell. As for "the same dumb pass 3 weeks in a row," let's see...a route that where Antwaan invites the corner in front of him, a great play by Ronde to disguise his coverage on another short pass, and a ball he definitely shouldn't have thrown, at least not to Santana Moss. All of them are very different mistakes... |

Re: Is Jason Campbell Accountable for this Loss?
seems like he always throws to the first option, no matter if the receiver is double or triple covered, he lost this game today. he's looking like an average inconsistent career backup, remember patrick ramsey.
