A new Redskins fan has arrived
Well, three hours after his due date of 11/23/07 had passed, my wife woke up at 3 a.m. feeling contractions and her labor starting. By 4 a.m. they were 5 minutes apart and we were on the way to the hospital. After 16 hours of hard labor, finished off by 3 straight hours of pushing, the boy wouldn't come down far enough to deliver naturally. He was delivered by C-section.
Matthew Christian was born at EXACTLY 6:00 p.m. on 11/24/07. He weighs 7 pounds, 14 ounces and is 20 inches long. He's in perfect health and so far, is very well-behaved! Mommy is doing well, especially after how hard she worked. The baby sat on my lap and watched the Skins game in the hospital room on Sunday.

His grandfather (my F-I-L) called him Matty once and my wife said "that sounds like a girl's name".
