well, no one can replace Jon Jansen. not as a tackle, not as a Redskin.

i say we cut Brunell and his blind side, get a vet free agent, and let Bugel make something out of him.

Kenyatta Jones started at RT for the Pats. Jones should be at RT next to Thomas, with Friedman in the middle, and Dockery and Samuels on the other side.

I voted for Winey. I think he played well last year when he played for injured Samuels. He's a big guy, I think like 6'6 300+ and played decently under that horrible blocking scheme that we like to call the chuck and duck.

I think Buges pointed him out a couple of times during minicamp and training camp. I think we have pretty good depth on the o-line, and a great coach to go with it. Bottom line, whoever is going replace Jansen WILL be prepared and Buges won't put a guy in there that he's not 100% comfortable with.

Jansen's loss really, really hurts. But when stuff like this happens it could bring out the best in everyone on the team. Guys will play hard for the #1 Dirt Bag, and Gibbs will have the guys fighting hard.

I was thinking Winey also. He definately stepped in and played well at LT last season. I think it looks like we have a few solid players who can step in on the right side and play. No one who brings what Jansen can, but I think there is at least one legitimate tackle in that bunch.

I think this just became another spot of competition for the skins, and I dont think the decision will be made until the last preseason game.

I believe in Joe Bugel's ability to coach whoever is in there to be a decent replacement and not become an instant liability.

Probably a combination of Winey and Kenyatta Jones.. If I remeber correctly, Jones was a pretty high pick of the Pats a few years ago but trouble off the field and injuries made them release him. I would expect him to be able to step in and at least be competent. Winey played well last year but I don't think he's a natural right tackle like Jones is.

I voted for K. Jones, however I think Winey will have a shot at it too. I think Winey played pretty well when he came in for us last season. Jones however seemes to have a biger upside, and must be impressing in camp, since he started last night for Thomas. I dont know, I just hope for the best. I really miss Jansen.

First of GET WELL JANSEN!!!!!

But we do have to move on and I know Buges and Gibss will put the player in there and whoever it is will get the job done.

Personally, I dont think we should stick a rookie in there this year. Remember Dockery last season?? Hes a freaking beast now, but it took him a while to pick it up.

I said Winey, he played surprising well last year at left takle. And considering hopefully Ramsey wins the job, it should be a little easier for him on the right side. Buges is gonna have to def. work his magic though.

Typical Buges move would be to slide Dockery over to tackle(which is his natural position), slide Friedman over to guard and start Raymer at Center. Winey and Jones will work to but my bet is that they will do the slide as Buges empasis on multi tasking lineman.

This might be the best idea I have heard. If we had Samuels, Dockery , Friedman, Thomas and Raymer on the feild, that would be undobutley the best offensive linemen that we have at our disposal. As long as everyone could adapt to any position changes, that would be the best scenerio.

And you still have Jones, Winey and Wilson for depth. They could step in when needed. Not a bad idea. Good thing they got Raymer back in the Oseason.
